The Mid Shift Operations Lead manages and directs a team of Real-Time Analysts responsible for delivering 24x7 cybersecurity monitoring services for Department of Defense networks during the **2400-0800 ET Mid Shift Monday-Friday.** This role oversees the Defensive Cyber Operations across three sites encompassing cyber threat intelligence analysis, correlation of actionable security events, and network traffic analysis using raw packet data. This leader will also collaborate with Boundary Defense and Cybersecurity Services mission leads in coordination of resources during incident response activities. In addition to operational oversight, the role supports the professional development of team members and ensures consistent, transparent communication with all levels of personnel including operational leadership.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ **Support and Lead Cybersecurity Monitoring & Analysis:**
+ Investigate alerts generated from endpoints, IDS/IPS, NetFlow data, and custom sensors to detect compromises on customer networks.
+ Analyze extensive log files, pivot between diverse datasets, and correlate evidence to support incident investigations, creating detailed technical reports outlining your findings.
+ Triage security alerts to rapidly identify malicious actors targeting customer networks.
+ Monitor and analyze DoD and open-source intelligence feeds to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and integrate them into security sensors and SIEMs.
+ Report security incidents to customers and USCYBERCOM, ensuring timely communication and coordinated response.
+ **Team Leadership & Development:**
+ Leads and supports assigned personnel by:
+ Conducting regular employee engagement activities.
+ Works with Government Representation to meet shared goals and set priorities.
+ Collaborating with Operations Managers to support employee training, performance management/development, and performance reviews.
+ Maintaining consistent and effective communication with Operations Leads, the chain of command, and Human Resources, as needed, to address employee performance, accountability, and development matters.
+ Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure long-term mission effectiveness and the resolution of any personnel or operational roadblocks.
+ Ensures consistent implementation and adherence to leadership directives and organizational policies in collaboration with People Leaders on their respective teams and shifts.
+ Direct the performance and mission success of a cross-functional team.
+ Sustain and improve situational awareness regarding all deliverable metrics and outcomes.
+ Advance the mission through cross-team collaboration and developmental initiatives.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Minimum active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
+ Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or higher), such as CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or SANS GSEC (or equivalent).
+ Ability to obtain DoD 8570 CSSP-A Level Certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GCIA, or equivalent) within 180 days of hire.
+ Strong foundation in networking, including packet analysis, common ports and protocols, and traffic flow. Knowledge of the OSI model, defense-in-depth security principles, and common security elements for effective threat detection, analysis, and mitigation as a SOC Security Analyst.
+ Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; equivalent work experience and/or military service _may_ be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member, demonstrating initiative and a strong work ethic in both settings.
+ Committed to continuous learning and self-improvement in the cybersecurity domain, as evidenced by ongoing pursuit of certifications, active participation in industry forums, and dedication to staying ahead of emerging threats and technologies.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to address complex security challenges in real-world scenarios. This includes the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, build consensus, and drive solutions to completion.
+ Reliable and flexible, with a demonstrated willingness to work assigned shifts to support operational requirements and team objectives.
+ A minimum of two (2) years managing a team of five (5) or more direct reports and/or A minimum of two (2) years of experience managing cross-functional cybersecurity teams.
+ Located within a commutable distance (within 2 hours) or able to self-relocate to Hill AFB, UT; Scott AFB, IL; or Columbus, OH.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Prior experience working with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and/or Department of Defense (DoD) networks.
+ Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow analysis, system administration principles, the OSI model, defense-in-depth strategies, and standard security components.
+ Demonstrated experience with malware analysis concepts and methodologies.
+ Experience implementing intelligence-driven defense strategies and/or utilizing the MITRE ATT&CK or Cyber Kill chain framework.
+ Education, Training, or Professional Certifications in Leadership, HR, or Organizational Development. (Harvard Manager Mentor, Leader as a Coach, GROW...)

We perform inpatient EKGs on the general care floors, occasionally outpatient (shared service with cardiology)
We manage GE Carescape R860 vents, Servo I vents, Drager VN500 and HFOV NICU vents, Phillips V60, Bubble CPAP, REMstar CPAP, Smart Vest, and Airvo
We perform bronchoscopy assistance with Glidescope disposable bronchs
Opportunity to cross-train on EEGs, PFTs and NICU
Option to participate in Annual Pulmonary Conference, Leadership Development classes, and Skills Development Courses
Our team consists of approximately 50 members, 1 director, 1 supervisor, 1 NICU lead, and 2 adult lead

Responsibilities: Works closely with the Respiratory Therapy Director and the Neonatologists to oversee the quality of clinical practice provided by respiratory therapist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by training, allocating, and monitoring work. · We work in adult cardiac care unit (ICU), medical/surgical ICU, progressive care unit (PCU), acute care floors (women's, medical, surgical, joint/spine, neuro)
· We have a Women's Center with a level 3 NICU. RTs will attend deliveries and care for babies who are admitted to the NICU receiving respiratory care
· We have a pulmonary function lab (PFT) where RTs perform outpatient and inpatient PFTS
· We perform inpatient EKGs on the general care floors, occasionally outpatient (shared service with cardiology)
· We manage GE Carescape R860 vents, Servo I vents, Drager VN500 and HFOV NICU vents, Phillips V60, Bubble CPAP, REMstar CPAP, Smart Vest, and Airvo
· We perform bronchoscopy assistance with Glidescope disposable bronchs
· Opportunity to cross-train on EEGs, PFTs and NICU
· Option to participate in Annual Pulmonary Conference, Leadership Development classes, and Skills Development Courses
· Our team consists of approximately 50 members, 1 director, 1 supervisor, 1 NICU lead, and 2 adult lead
· We typically run 7 people during the day and 6-7 at night. Varies per census and acuity
o We cover our South Campus which has an ED, behavioral health unit and acute care rehab. 1 RT for each shift.

Participates in the maintenance of the infection control program for monitoring communicable and/or infectious diseases among the residents and personnel.
