He serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Urban Harvest, is the 2014 President of the Board of the Houston Chapter of NAIOP, a Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and is also on the Board of the Alley Theatre.

A former board member of the Central Missouri Development Council, David Forrest Atkins draws upon three decades of property management and financing experience to serve as CEO at Alexander Forrest Investments, LLC. Headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, Alexander Forrest Investments maintains operations in 26 states and has completed signature design projects such as Hacienda Villa Apartments and College Town Apartments. David Atkins was also one of three partners to oversee the development of the 138-acre Trade Wind Park in Columbia in 2008.In addition to his executive leadership experience in the real estate sector, David Forrest Atkins co-founded Agents National Title Insurance in 2005 and helped put together its executive management team.
