1803

In 1803 Judith Foster Saunders and Clementina Beach moved to Dorchester, Massachusetts, and started a school for young ladies.

1806

She attended Deerfield Academy in 1806, but embroidered “Charity” at the Misses Patten’s school in Hartford, Connecticut.

1815

The thread is silk floss and chenille and the stitches are laid, straight, and satin There is a Sophia Harsen born July 10, 1815, in New York City, New York.

1827

A gold inscription on a black mat at the bottom says, “Wrought by Sophia W. Childs, Charleston, 1827.” It is stitched on a plain weave ivory silk ground with silk floss and chenille.

1850

1855

At the bottom is stitched: “EMMA FRANCES FEATHER – 1855.” It is embroidered on cotton canvas that has a warp of 28/in and weft of 24/in.

1914

1951

Across the top of the picture are clouds, and the initials “e b r 1951-53" are embroidered near the right lower corner.

1990

Kim and her sister, Sheila had started Express in the late 1990’s and it was located in the mid-town area of Bowling Green for many years providing mainly print on paper products.

1993

See page 213 in Girlhood Embroidery, American Samplers & Pictorial Needlework by Betty Ring (New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1993). Harriet Salter was the second of nine children born to John and Mary Williams Salter of Mansfield, Connecticut.

2007

Chris and his partner Kevin Kirn started their apparel decorating business in 2007 and the main product lines were screen printing and embroidery.

2015

On January 30, 2015, Joy Downing, the President of The Liberty Group contacted Joe Davis about the potential sale of the printing company.

On November 19, 2015, a Ribbon Cutting was hosted by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce celebrating the formation of the Liberty Imaging brand.

2016

On May 4, 2016, Kim Oliver, the owner of Express Printing and her husband Mark contacted Joe Davis to discuss the potential sale of Express Printing.
