Basic Purpose of the Job The Family Support Worker for Reunification provides support to children/families including, but not limited to, parenting skills, life skills, child development and behavior management to assist children and families in reaching permanency Essential Functions Provides direct in-home services including, but not limited to, parenting skills, life skills, child development and behavior management. Support case plan goals through teaching, role modeling, and demonstration Participates in case conferences, family meetings, client assessments, and in the team decision making process. Assists families to establish a support network with family, kinship, and community. Refers clients to community services and assists in arranging appointments as needed. Assists in gathering information for initial and on-going assessments. Provides intervention for children and families in crisis situations Ability to work with the court system and follow court protocols including appropriate business attire Participates in court proceedings, including testifying, and makes sure court orders are followed Completes and maintains written documentation in child/family's case record accurately and within established time frames. Supports kinship and foster families to maintain placements and help children work toward permanency. Participates in team meetings, sharing pertinent information about children/families' progress; critical trends, barriers and solutions to achieving outcomes; and relationships with other agencies/communities. Works collaboratively and with Permanency Specialist assigned. Supervises and transports children and families as needed. Reports critical incidents to DFPS verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hours. Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms. Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures. Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels. 2026 Interns Interns will attend the same training as regular CFBR employees. They are responsible for providing individual clinical services and appropriate assessments for Boys Ranch residents utilizing a strength-based approach, under the supervision of an LCSW or an LMSW (with 2 years post-grad experience). They will participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of Boys Ranch clinical interventions for identified residents in accordance with appropriate therapeutic practices and CFBR policy. Each intern will attend and participate in weekly team meetings for assigned clients. They will facilitate and/or co-facilitate therapeutic and/or psycho-educational groups and have opportunities to provide clinical services and support for the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy programs, Adventure Programs and other experiential learning activities. Interns are immersed into the community of care provided at CFBR and will be able to experience all aspects of care provided to residents in a General Residential Operation. Requirements JOB SPECIFICATIONS Currently enrolled in a Master's degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Child Psychology, Counseling, Human Services Administration or related field is required. Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required. Must be proficient in general office equipment operation. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills. Must be at least 21 years of age.
