APRN (Family Practitioner) who is disciplined and willing to see both children and adults. Job Summary: Under the supervision of the psychiatrist, the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) is responsible for the psychiatric evaluation, treatment, emergency intervention and psychopharmacological treatment of consumers of the Assisted Outpatient Treatment Team. The APRN works closely with the Leadership Team of the assigned work location. A successful APRN is knowledgeable, empathetic, respectful, and treats consumers with dignity. Must be able to work cooperatively with a variety of disciplines, demonstrates leadership and is able to encourage and influence others in a positive, proactive manner. Must be flexible, patient and remain calm in crisis situations. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position. * Delivers psychiatric healthcare services to individuals in the Assisted Outpatient Treatment Team program to determine the most appropriate services and level of care required. * Performs and/or assists in treatment/procedures as ordered by the psychiatrist. * Accurately assesses client's needs and prioritizes care. * Develops effective consumer care and treatment plans. * Documents service provision in an accurate and timely manner. * Functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary team that develops and implements treatment plans and goals for all consumers. * Prescribes and monitors medications under the supervision of the Medical Director or covering physician. * Provides tentative diagnosis for acute and chronic psychiatric disorders listed in the DSM-5. * Interacts with consumers to establish a therapeutic relationship and facilitates achievement of treatment plan goals in accordance with the medical directives contained therein. * Any other duties as assigned * The ability to work collaboratively with others and to accept constructive criticism from supervisors and managers * Willingness to abide by the company's published rules and regulations KNOWLEDGE and JOB SKILLS: Clinical skills in psychiatric and basic medical/surgical nursing and are fundamental to this position. Demonstrates a cooperative attitude to problem solving and conflict resolution with all levels of staff and in all interactions with families and outside professionals. Actively collaborates with other Center service programs in implementation of the diversionary efforts to reduce admission to crisis stabilization units. Legible handwriting and good documentation skills are essential. Good verbal and written communications skills are fundamental to satisfactory job performance. Knowledge of comprehensive or holistic approach to client care is helpful. Must have a functional knowledge of the Baker and Marchman Acts. Excellent crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills are key to this position. Keeps supervisor advised of any problems, concerns or dissatisfactions related to the delivery of services. Initiative, accuracy and dependability are important. Must be assertive and have a tenacious work ethic. Must be honest, dependable, well organized detail oriented, and self-directed. LifeStream is a behavioral health and social services organization that provides high-quality treatment, education, care management, rehabilitation, child welfare, primary care and homeless services to children, adolescents, and adults. Located in Central Florida, LifeStream primarily serves the residents of Lake, Citrus and Sumter Counties, with additional programs located in Orange, Marion, Hernando counties. Position Overview: LifeStream is a leading provider of behavioral health services, dedicated to delivering compassionate and high-quality care to our consumers. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate LPN'S to join our team. The LPN is responsible for providing client care and improving nursing service in an organized nursing unit. Will assist consumers in increasing interaction skills, in improving level of functioning and in gaining insight into their illness; this includes establishing a meaningful relationship with all consumers. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Will assist in the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu; this includes ensuring that client activities take place as scheduled. * Responsible for the provision of client care; this includes ensuring that all nursing care procedures are performed correctly. * Will function as a member of the clinical team and will participate in planning and implementing treatment goals and plans. * Responsible for documentation of all services provided to the clients; this includes ensuring that client records are complete. * Will attend all staff meetings and in-service education programs. * Will be responsible for the administration of medication in collaboration with the attending physician and the nurse in charge. * A person in this position will be required to actively participate in verbal and physical intervention services. * Collaborates with the Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor and/or Nurse Manager to ensure a therapeutic environment. * Will have knowledge of the Baker Act? * Will be responsible to ensure that the civil rights of the client are in accordance with the mental health laws and the court of law. * Will advise the Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor and/or Nurse Manager on all matters of concern related to client care on each scheduled shift. * Will assist consumers in increasing interaction skills, in improving level of functioning and in gaining insight into their illness; this includes establishing a meaningful relationship with all consumers. * Understanding of crisis intervention skills * Ability to successfully complete initial and annual Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) physical restraint training and verbal de-escalation training. * The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance. * The ability to work collaboratively with others and to accept constructive criticism from supervisors and managers. * Willingness to abide by the company's published rules and regulations. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting minimum standards of the Florida State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in nursing, preferably in a mental health setting. Driving Requirements: * Must be Over the age of 21 required. * Minimum of 5 years driving experience required. * Possess a Valid FL Driver's license (within 30 days of hire if currently do not possess) * Possess a continuously valid US Driver's license for the past three years, from date of issue required. * Safe Driving record required. * Must be able to pass a Level II Background Screening * Must be able to pass a preemployment drug test.
