Job Description
Prioritize shipping and receiving tasks including creating a timely and accurate delivery schedule.
Monitor the shipping and receiving of all materials in the distribution facility.
Monitor shipping and receiving reporting, movement and storage of materials, and transfers.
Monitor employee work performance relative to expectations and maintain workflow through the facility.
Manage 15 plus employees: interviewing, employee disciplinary actions, timecards, reviews, and etc.
Maintain equipment structure and level to accomplish the warehouse and shipping and receiving mission in a safe, effective manner.
Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
Provide appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of material.
Research material handling equipment to ensure procurement of the most suitable equipment in terms of performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
Determine cost effective shipping methods and verify that complete orders have been shipped and received in accordance with Grimco requirements.
Perform duties using a safety-conscious attitude, improving safety knowledge of all employees.
Motivate by example - partner with warehouse employees to perform daily activities, and continuously improve performance. Teamwork is key!
Communicate clear expectations to production personnel, keep them informed of matters pertaining to their job, and develop personnel growth opportunities.
Perform other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skills required by the job.
Qualifications
5 - 10 years management experience in Distribution environment.
College degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Six Sigma Certification is a plus!
Ability to travel to multiple states for training.
Ability to compete and pass a criminal background screening.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis.
Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift)

Obtain not only domestic freight, but also import/export quotations, negotiate freight rates, and manage carrier/vendor relationships.
Oversee inter-warehouse transfers and reception of products, via WMS.
File claims with carriers for damaged or missing shipments and track resolution.
Schedule warehouse inventory audits, inspect damaged products, and manage disposal of expiring materials.

Prepare monthly freight cost forecasts and support cost monitoring and saving initiatives for both transportation and warehouse operations.
Assist RDCs with warehouse equipment and supply purchases.
Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards and monitor operational performance.

We are looking for an experienced LogisticsCoordinator for 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00am to 3:30pm to execute transportation operations at the facility. You will be responsible for productivity, and efficiency through action and effective methods and strategies. It's an exciting time to join the syncreon team!
About the Role
How you will contribute
* Handle customer queries, escalations & a large volume of day to day reports through the life cycle of customer orders.
* Build a close working relationship with the Key Account control tower staff staffing through understanding their day to day business requirements and servicing accordingly.
* Ensure a large number of customer & carrier performance reports are completed weekly/monthly and submitted on time and with accurate content.
* Apply scheduling, planning, and coordination activity to support product inbound and outbound operations.
* Ability to communicate both internally and externally with the customers and stakeholders.
* Process order set up via preferred internal system to include but not limited to EDI feeds or manual creation.
* Ensure orders are picked and processed timely to meet KPI requirements and help monitor and ensure proper inventory levels per customer expectations.
* Other duties as assigned.
Your Key Qualifications
* Customer service background in logistics or planning with ability to build a relationship with the customer and handle problem resolution in timely manner.
* Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge with strong emphasis on Excel (V Look Ups, Pivot Table is a plus) used for tracking and analysis.
* Ability to adapt and work in an ever changing, stress induced changing environment.
* Ability to multiitask effectively
