Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements

- Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required.
- Experience in medical supply chain management is required.

Provide operational expertise in the logistics areas of in-bound receiving, out-bound order fulfillment and shipping, and warehousing and inventory control.
Define actionable metrics/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), data, and insights to meet and improve service performance.
Leverage and apply technical knowledge and industry trends to provide ongoing process improvement and develop process continuous improvement opportunities.
Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, resolving issues tactfully under pressure. Use Plex ERP and third-party WMS systems to manage ABS materials and inventory.
Oversee receipt of raw materials and customer returns, ensuring proper documentation and handling. Schedule and prioritize deliveries, resolving issues promptly.

Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. As the Distribution Manager for our Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Clayton, OH, you will serve as a front-line leader, supervising 20-25 hourly personnel. The Clayton Distribution Center plays an important role within the Parts Distribution Network. The Clayton DC is an Entry Point for North American Suppliers, in turn supplying the other Global DCs with this material.

What You Will Do:
* Lead and motivate distribution center teams through coaching, training, and reinforcement to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
* Drive operational excellence by resolving issues, improving processes, and implementing productivity, quality, and service standards.
* Ensure safety and compliance by conducting daily safety meetings, mentoring employees, and enforcing proper equipment use and work procedures.
* Oversee inventory and equipment management, including receiving, processing, storage, and maintenance to support efficient operations.
* Manage administrative and workflow tasks, such as payroll, attendance, and decision-making to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
* Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
* Distribution Center and Warehouse Management: Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of warehouse management. EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) knowledge. Knowledge of distribution processes, issues and considerations; ability to effectively manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to stores and/or customers.
* Customer Service Management: Knowledge of customer service priorities and ability to utilize tools and techniques for maintaining an environment where all understand and are committed to providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
* Materials Handling and Management: Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.
* Bachelor's degree or higher
* Microsoft Office application knowledge
* Strong leadership, initiative, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop working relationships with others
* Project management skills

Summary Pay Range:
$71,040.00 - $106,440.00

Manage day-to-day logistics operations, including but not limited to inbound receiving, accurate warehousing, material delivery, and outbound shipments.

Perform daily audits of hourly operators tasks.
Properly update payroll records daily.
Follow escalation protocols to various levels of management when issues arise.

Ensure outbound shipments to customers are completed on time and accurately.
Lead team meetings and safety talks.
Conduct accurate inventory counts and make necessary corrections in SAP.

Ensure daily overtime equalization is completed.
Build and maintain strong relationships within the company and with external partners, such as suppliers and distributors.
Prevent production line downtime by ensuring components are delivered to lines as needed.

Participate in annual physical inventory activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry preferred.
Proven ability to manage up to 50 hourly employees and multiple operational processes.
Previous experience in a unionized environment preferred.
Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Availability to work some weekends as needed.
