Full-Time. $16/hour. The Logistics Specialist provides on-site support to supply chain activities within a cannabis cultivation facility. As a Logistics Specialist, you are responsible for receiving, distribution, and inventory tasks. Logistics Specialists may be cross-trained and asked to support other departments occasionally to meet business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * File completed and signed packing and delivery documents both physically and electronically. * Sort receipts and prepare expense reports for fuel and vehicle maintenance charges. * Update order statuses in company's sales system. * Complete and create invoices for packaged orders that are pending shipment. * Finalize invoices upon delivery completion to reflect any product rejections. * Send documentation including product COA, manifests, and invoices to accounts and corresponding parties. * Identify and correct issues with product labels and packing slips before shipment. * Create shipping manifests and verify for accuracy and compliance. * Perform inventory transfers in state's traceability software. * Track, record, and assist with scheduling van services and maintenance work. * Process product returns in state's traceability software. * Identify and correct any product issues before delivery. * Print product labels and verify for accuracy and compliance. * Sort and organize inventory and sales data for reporting. * Ensure all documentation is correctly completed and left in the appropriate area for delivery transporters. * Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws. * Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas. * Immediately inform Logistics Manager of any system discrepancies. * Work within company continuous improvement system and strive to increase productivity. * Regularly clean equipment and receiving dock and bay. * Provide support to additional cultivation, harvest, and production teams as needed to achieve facility production goals. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications * Previous experience, 1-3years in supply chain, warehouse, receiving, and/or inventory. * Able to follow detailed instruction and capable of performing repetitive tasks. * Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment. * Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification. * Willing to learn about, operate, and maintain facility equipment in a safe manner. * Must have effective time management and multitasking skills. * Able to work independently with minimum supervision. * Ability to safely climb, squat, bend, twist, kneel and stand for at least 8 hours per day, and lift up to 50 pounds. * Must be 21 years of age or older and able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent. * Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry. Preferred Qualifications * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. * Previous experience in a regulated production facility (food, beverage, CPG, etc.) preferred. * Pallet jack proficiency preferred. Summary: In this position, you will operate and maintain machinery and equipment necessary in the loading and unloading of ethanol, wet & dry distillers and corn. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently weighing/grading raw materials and final products. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure grain is of acceptable quality and meets specifications as outlined in the purchase contract and reject shipments of grain not meeting standards. Timely loading/unloading of all ethanol, distiller's grains, and other products by railcar and truck. Proper completion of all records related to the products loaded for shipment from the plant site. Ability to submit work requests when appropriate. Housekeeping as related, but not limited to the cleanliness and orderly organization of all areas that pertain to your duties. Keep current on the status of all operating equipment. Maintain rolling stock to include loaders, track mobile, skid steer, and fuel loader by checking fluid levels, greasing, lubricating and re-fueling. Inspect loaders, track mobile, etc. for defects, cracks, breaks, tires, etc. according to the designated schedule issued by maintenance and document the inspection results. Work closely with maintenance and inform them of any mechanical problems. Grease and check oil levels on all rolling stock equipment at the designated schedule and document. Keep the plant in a tour ready condition at all times. Frequent communications with the grain grader and operations department. Grade all incoming samples of corn proficiently and accurately using manual and automated equipment Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the plant and direct trucks to the proper location for loading/unloading in a friendly and courteous manner. Enter all customer and product data into grain receiving software. Communicate with Production Department to ensure the timely unloading of products received. Keep area around the truck scales, scale house, inside scale room clean and presentable at all times. Assist with process chemical inventory tracking and ordering. Your 'day to day' * Responsible for planning daily warehouse transfers to ensure timely shipments from Distribution Centers to customers. * Prepare weekly truck schedule for outside Distribution Centers and ensure inventory is evenly balanced. * Responsible for auditing finished goods returns to Distribution Centers and redistribution of inventory. * Accountable for finished goods service level. * Prepare monthly and yearly service level reports. * Responsible for finished goods inventory report. * Responsible for the reporting of Daily Sales and Inventory levels * Recommend, initiate, and conduct special projects as requested; * Assists with compiling, developing and monitoring the annual budget; * Directly interface with both internal and external customers * Responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material * Covers vacations in both the Planning and Logistics areas * Serve as coverage for Manager Planning & Scheduling as needed. * Maintains frequent contact with nearly all areas of the Owensboro facility to coordinate and time activities of many unrelated areas. * Ensures that the master production plans developed are based on the sales forecast. Master Production Scheduling * Responsible for tobacco and tobacco-free products production scheduling * Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of MPS and MRP runs * Works closely with purchasing and inventory control to ensure sufficient material is on hand to meet schedules * Analyze and adjust as necessary, production schedules that are affected by changes in raw material or equipment. * Balance product mix between promotional product and open stock. * Manage WIP inventory to an agreed upon level * Manage finished goods inventory to an agreed upon level * Analyze inventory status daily to ensure proper inventory availability to an agreed upon service level target. Who we're looking for: * College degree preferred or equivalent experience. * Desired previous experience in Planning/Scheduling in a Manufacturing environment. * Adept at handling multi-faceted tasks and situations. * Knowledge in the areas of Lean Manufacturing, KBI & KP reporting and Wareuse Inventory Management. * Must maintain a high level of credibility and objectivity tempered with a great amount of common sense and understanding.
