Job Purpose: The Waterfront Manager is responsible for implementing safe and quality aquatic and waterfront programs for campers and staff. The Waterfront Manager oversees the lifeguard team, manages their daily and weekly schedules, manages the pool and waterfront facilities, orders supplies as needed, lifeguards as needed, and may be required to drive a motorboat during sailing programming. The Waterfront Manager facilitates community building within camper groups, as well as within the greater camp organization.
Essential Functions
Oversees the waterfront and aquatic programs.
Coordinates and schedules all phases of the waterfront and aquatic programing including swimming, small craft classes, free swims, sailing, canoeing/kayaking and waterfront activities on overnights or trips and all waterfront related activities.
Supervises and directs lifeguard staff and works in conjunction with the Program Manager in supervision and direction of the Sailing Program Facilitator.
Develops and implements weekly in-service trainings for lifeguard team.
Leads waterfront activities and lifeguards when needed.
Drives the camp motorboat as needed and directed for sailing programs.
Sees that the waterfront facilities, pool, equipment, and supplies are maintained in working order and reports any repairs needed.
Maintains accurate inventory records, seeing that needed supplies and equipment are ordered, repaired, and maintained.
Works as a team with the other management through effective communication skills with management, unit staff, and Camp Manager.
Maintains effective working relationships with staff and create harmonious relationships with campers, parents, and staff.
Assists with the daily running of camp and activities, helping and covering as needed.
Assisting with daily, weekly, and end of season camp cleaning responsibilities.
Provide quality camper experience that resolves concerns in a timely manner.
Participates in and performs duties within the general camp life, including but not limited to check in, check out, all camp activities, themed days or meals, cookout, and duties at meals.
Ensures camp is providing quality and safe programming for all campers by following all policies, procedures, protocols, and health and safety standards of GSCTX, American Camp Association, Health Department, and Safety Activity Checkpoints.

Engages in problem-solving skills, by clarifying desired information, researching, locating and delivering findings and solutions.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of the AI Tinkery, the Manager will manage the day-to-day operations, programs, and student staffing of the AI Tinkery. The Manager designs and facilitates learning experiences, guiding Stanford community members and K-12 educators in creatively applying and critically understanding emerging AI tools and technologies. This includes computer maintenance, scheduling, and outreach communication. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and resourceful. They will also enjoy working with, guiding, and interacting with students, faculty, and the broader campus community.
CORE DUTIES:
Learning Lead: Actively encourage and support the understanding, evaluation, and shaping of AI-based tools by developing and implementing new resources for instructors or students, assisting them with the tools, and creating and supporting an infrastructure that allows use of the tools in learning.
* Develop and lead seminars, courses, or workshops about uses of AI technologies in educational contexts.
* Create and disseminate learning resources, including the tinkery model itself.
* Assess learning needs; develop and deliver workshops and innovative, user-friendly documentation.
* Consult on educational technology needs for instructors and/or students and provide or coordinate solutions.
* Engage in initiatives to encourage faculty and/or students to adopt the use of appropriate AI technologies in their teaching, learning, co-curricular activities, or research.
* Provide assistance in the direct integration of AI tools into course curricula, extra-curricular or co-curricular learning, and/or research projects.
Physical and Digital Spaces: Oversee the operations and management of this evolving learning space.
* Co-create and implement a vision for the AI Tinkery experience.
* Design and develop interactive and/or analog installations for the space.
* Recommend software, hardware, and multimedia equipment.
* Maintain appropriate accounts and login credentials for AI tools.
* Maintain the AI Tinkery calendar. Respond to inquiries about space usage and capabilities within and beyond SAL.
* Manage a team of student mentors.
* Maintain the AI Tinkery web site. Update marketing/branding as needed.
* Develop relationships with service providers throughout the university to advocate needs and obtain resources for faculty and students.
* Track attendance and usage data. Generate quarterly usage and budget reports.
* Staff advisory group meetings (schedule, invite, agenda, etc.).
Expertise:
* Stay informed about educational technology developments through lists, publications, and conferences.
* Provide outreach and advocacy within or across departments for effective and ethical uses of AI tools in educational settings.
* Assist with coordination of academic learning technology policies, procedures, and support.
* Participate in or lead projects to develop innovative uses of technology for research, student learning, and/or community building.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
* Bachelor's degree plus four years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

The expected pay range for this position is $96,212 - $113,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. Qualifications
* Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.

Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
Equivalent to two years of progressively responsible experience in a management or supervisory role in a custodial field; three to five years preferred. Responsible for the proper closing and securing of the cafeteria at the end of the day.
Evaluate daily menu and make suggestions for changes.
Cashier and/or help replenish food daily during serving periods.
Prepare all daily reports, records, and deposits.
Ensure that all money collected is properly deposited on a daily basis.
Responsible for the final daily cleaning of kitchen and dining room.
Lift or carry 1 to 40 lbs. frequently, 41 to 60 lbs. occasionally.
