This position is responsible for the upkeep, preventive maintenance, and repair of the University's fleet of vehicles. The role also supports the Maintenance Department by assisting with day-to-day work orders and operational needs. * Review and analyze work orders, plan tasks, and determine required resources. * Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to procure necessary parts and accessories for repairs. * Perform routine service and preventive maintenance on University vehicles, including: * Lubrication and chassis service * Fluid level checks and top-offs * Oil and filter changes with oil life monitor reset * Filter inspections and replacements * Tire rotations, pressure adjustments, and TPMS sensor relearning * Diagnose and repair vehicles to factory specifications using appropriate tools (supplied by the technician). * Accurately complete work orders, documenting all repairs, parts used, and time required. * Communicate progress and schedule tasks with the Maintenance Supervisor. * Review completed work to ensure quality standards are met. * Follow University policies and safety procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Maintain current ASE training and certifications. * Assist with snow removal and grounds work as needed. * Participate in the department's on-call rotation. The University of Maine System Information Technology (UMS:IT) team is accepting applications for a Media Services Technician CL3 to join our team on the University of Maine campus. This team provides support for advanced classroom technology, web-based hybrid and remote learning classes, along with a variety of high-visibility campus-based events and conferences.
