What We Offer This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position will work 3 - 25 hours per week. Individual hours will vary. All games take place in the evening and on weekends. The pay rate for this position is $26.74/hour and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver's 457b retirement plan. Games are held on weekday evenings and weekends, providing a vibrant and flexible sports experience for participants. Certified Sports Officials officiate recreational activities and aid the recreation site leads and staff. Sports Officials will officiate adult league games. Games are held throughout Denver's network of parks, recreation centers, and sports facilities. As a Certified Sports Official with CityWide Sports, you'll play a vital role in creating a fun, fair, and dynamic atmosphere for participants. Here are some of the key duties you'll take on: Officiating at sports events including flag football, basketball, softball, and other adult sports leagues Communicating with CityWide Sports Program Coordinators by telephone, e-mail, or in-person to provide information and discuss problems Inspecting playing surfaces or fields to ensure that it meets the regulations of the sanctioning body and is safe for the players.
