Job Duties and Responsibilities Program, troubleshoot, and operate programmable controllers, distributive control, and interlocking systems. Install equipment for new electrical services (120v, 240v, and 480v, three phases), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contactors, relays, times, and controls. Perform work on-site automation system to the component level, including components that require 0-10-volt signal or 4-20 milliamp signal repair. Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair; install or replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed. Work on electrical equipment including but not limited to Frequency Drives (VFDs), contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring. Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, distribution systems, motor control centers, and motors. Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict production efficiency. Stay current on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques. Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes. Exhibit the ability to anticipate parts requirements for the tasks, follow proper purchasing procedures, and acquire parts ahead of anticipated task performance. Perform and assist in all operations maintenance activities in accordance with national, state, and local electrical codes. Use a computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) to record and access maintenance-related information. Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues. Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work consistently with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
