Position Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees.
Performs other duties as required.
Position Requirements:
Must be educationally certified through a tech or trade school beyond High School
Must be highly safety conscious.
Proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary.
High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.

SUMMARY

Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Cleans, maintains shop areas, including organizing, stocking, and inventorying parts, tools, and supplies.
Working effectively with other team members, including production personnel and other maintenance staff.

When you clock in at our established Industrial Maintenance and Repair shop, you'll jump straight into hands-on problem solving. One hour you're rebuilding an AC motor to get a customer's line back on track; the next, you're diagnosing a gearbox vibration, reading a blueprint to plan your repair, then fabricating a bracket to complete the fix. You'll move from preventive checks on rotating equipment and conveyors to hydraulic seal replacements and pneumatic valve troubleshooting-keeping machinery safe, reliable, and production-ready.

What will you do?
As a Utilities Technician apprentice, you may get involved in the following activities:
Assist with complex manufacturing processes in a highly automated, regulated environment - ensuring quality, safety and accuracy in all that we do
Operate our specialized highly automated equipment to manufacture our products
Monitor and analyze production processes and data, utilizing various instruments and control systems
Work in teams to continuously improve the functionality of our automated equipment and processes
Work in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others and the protection of the environment
Support and drive continuous improvement objectives, participation in daily tier meetings, scheduling assignments as needed

Manually lift and move product to restock and repack ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation.
Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards.
Responsible for meeting productivity requirements.
Stage completed pallets in designated areas.
Follow established company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality procedures and policies.
Actively participate in Hazard Mitigation.
Complete assigned Health & Safety trainings.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 6 months of general work experience.
Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred.
Prior warehouse experience preferred.
Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs.
Daily Activities Repetitively lift, carry, and position product (weighing up to 50 lbs.) above shoulder height without assistance.
Consistent kneeling, squatting, and reaching above the head.
Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck, etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to read information in small, medium, and large print.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Fraza & Vitan Equipment is looking for an experienced Forklift Technician to repair heavy equipment. You'll service, diagnose, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment-no two days are the same.
