    Base Pay: $17.04 Hourly . SUMMARY: Performs general maintenance and repair tasks at inland parks, buildings, and the Regional Fairgrounds. The employee is required to be on duty before, during, and after natural disasters and emergencies, as directed by the supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintains Park landscapes, which may include any combination of mowing, trimming trees and bushes, fertilizing and watering, and removing garbage. Repairs Park structures and facilities; paints structures and equipment; and erects picnic tables. May pour concrete and do plumbing, welding, and minor electrical work. Operates tractors, mowers, hand tools, portable pumps, generators and other equipment. Cleans and sanitizes restrooms. Cleans vehicles assigned to parks. Installs light bulbs in park and fairground buildings; repairs light fixtures and ballasts. Performs field maintenance by raking and dragging baseball fields in all inland county parks. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Texas driver license. Any employee who drives a vehicle on official business must have a driving record which meets standards set by the County and the County's insurance carrier.
