Operates fairly complex and expensive machinery to remove sheeting from and apply sheeting to sign base materials. Operates forklift and other material-handling equipment. BOILERS/COMPRESSORS: Have a high level of understanding of how a boiler works and a degree of understanding of compressors. Troubleshoot/repair/restart boilers. MACHINES: Be able to demonstrate the ability to safely use several key pieces of equipment in a shop, (e.g., drill press, hydraulic press, power hacksaw, power cold saw, iron worker). HAND TOOLS: Have a high level of knowledge of all hand tools required of a journeyman mechanic and to possess these tools as required. HVAC: Have a working understanding of a HVAC system.
