As a Fiber Splicer Trainer, you will be part of the technical training department supporting field technicians and installation teams. **Job Title:** Fiber Splicer Trainer

**What's the Job?**
+ Deliver comprehensive training on fiber splicing techniques, including fusion and mechanical splicing methods.
+ Educate team members on outside plant basics, fiber types, and splice closure maintenance.
+ Assist in troubleshooting fiber optic connections and testing using specialized equipment.
+ Provide instruction on working safely at heights up to 18 feet using fall restraint devices.
+ Support the development of training materials and practical demonstrations for new and existing staff.

+ Knowledge of outside plant basics and fiber optic fundamentals, including signal flow and light loss.
+ Experience with fiber types such as single-mode, multi-mode, and ribbon fiber.
+ Proficiency in using fusion fiber splicing machines and mechanical splice tools.
+ Ability to test and troubleshoot fiber connections with meters and testing equipment.
+ Strong facilitation and instructional skills, with the ability to work at heights safely.

The technician will collaborate with end users and contractors to ensure all on-site products are functioning properly and tested prior to system energization. + Execute a System Startup checklist while at a customer's site.
+ Program meters and perform network support via phone with customers.
+ Identify and resolve complex network issues.
+ Complete startup certification and meter commissioning reports.

+ Obtain a Level 1 Thermography Certification to perform IR scans and complete associated reports.
+ Diagnose and repair on-site issues and mentor technicians.

**Essential Skills**

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
+ Clean up job sites and ensure a tidy workspace.

**About the Role:**
As a **Sensory Lab Technician,** you will support the sensory lab function, helping to prepare, execute, and analyze sensory studies and internal trainings. You'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient lab environment while collaborating with a passionate sensory team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer sensory studies and internal trainings - setup testing rooms, label cups, prepare & serve samples, and cleanup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, document samples, stock supplies, and perform routine cleaning and equipment calibration.
- Analyze and report results of small-scale sensory studies using sensory software and Excel.
- Communicate effectively with the sensory team to support resource planning and problem resolution.
- Assist with sensory team goals and activities as needed.
**Education & Experience:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Basic math skills: percentages, conversions, ratios.
- Experience in a scientific lab or food/coffee preparation is desirable.
