Flexibility: This role has a hybrid (combination of in-person and remote) work environment. The Associate Director of Advancement ( ADOA ) will have responsibility for raising funds for the Department of Surgery working with and as directed by the Director of Advancement for Surgery. This important and highly visible position will manage relationships with faculty to establish and execute annual giving efforts for the Department in coordination with U of U Health Advancement Annual Giving, and will work with a portfolio of donors who have the capability of making annual leadership, major, and planned gifts. The ADOA will help grow the Department's major gift pipeline, and an emphasis will be placed on major gift fundraising. The ADOA reports to the Director of Advancement for Surgery with input from the Department Chair and Administrative Director of Surgery. In consultation with the DOA for Surgery and department leadership, the ADOA establishes and executes the annual giving/leadership annual giving strategy. In consultation with DOA for Surgery, strategically builds and manages a portfolio of leadership annual giving and major gift prospects, including grateful patients and families, training alumni, and others. Develops strong relationships within Surgery by providing education and training to faculty about the dynamics of grateful patient and major gift fundraising. 5.
