What You'll Do
Deliver person-centered nursing care in alignment with Mayo Clinic standards.
Monitor and manage residents' health needs across multiple care settings.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure resident safety and well-being.
Accurately document skilled interventions to reflect clinical judgement and resident needs.

Qualifications
To be considered for the LPN position, you must meet the following requirements:
Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program (e.g., some states allow RN students to take the LPN board exam after completing one to two years in the RN program).
If graduation has not occurred within the last two years, one year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required.
License/Certification
Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse license; active on the Minnesota Board of NursingRegistry.
Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification (must come from one of the following providers: American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
Additional Qualifications
One year of work experience in Long Term Care or Home Health or two years of acute care nursing is preferred.
Ability to work independently.
Strong commitment to teamwork, communication, and resident-centered care.
Strong problem-solving skills are necessary with the ability to collect, compare, sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of residents and employees.
Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.

Patients require specialized postsurgical care including management of drainage systems, wound care, and early mobilization. Graduate of a nursing program.
All entry-level associate degree registerednurses with a RN start date of April 1, 2020 and after must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing program within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date.
All entry-level associate degree registerednurses with a RN start date prior to April 1, 2020 must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing program as stipulated by the degree requirement program in place at time of hire.
One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Experience working in a team environment. Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.

Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
