Technical
Subject matter expertise to review complex planning documents, designs, site plans, technical reports, project schedules, and engineering estimates.
Analyze, develop, and evaluate transportation systems. Conduct research, find and analyze solutions, and propose decisions based on findings.
Establishes and maintains liaison with the planning and engineering design discipline leads and key staff.
Facilitates resolution for technical analysis and/or engineering problems within the assigned discipline; coordinates application of solutions.
Maintains first-level quality assurance to confirm that the delivery of all work within their discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and/or industry standards.
Provides direction to (and assists) technical staff and sub consultants for deliverables.
Project Management and Controls
Assist with daily coordination with regards to project delivery and Sub Consultant management. Serve as a point of contact for the Sub Consultants for one or more assigned contracts and to assist the PM in technical coordination for all matters related to the contract;
Supports preparation and maintenance of project forecasts and status updates, including the development and analysis of cost and schedule performance indicators (CPI and SPI).
Continually monitor and manage costs including labor, expenses, and other costs against the project budget
Assist with/monitor project activities, claims and change orders, progress reporting, payments, and other contract administration functions;
Manage the Close-out process which includes compilation of all final Project deliverables, including native files (as needed) and images, etc.
Perform other project related duties as assigned by the PM and/or Task Manager.
Background and Experience Required:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban or Regional Planning, Project Management, or related field.
A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience, with two (2) years in the transit or rail industry preferred
A minimum of two (2) years demonstrated progressively responsible project management and/or construction experience,
Understands and applies planning, engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules;
Excellent written and oral communications skills

Principal Project Manager - Water & Wastewater

Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design and project management.
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Expertise in wastewater treatment plant planning, design, and permitting.
Strong business acumen with experience in financial and contractual project matters.
Familiarity with Texas-specific regulations and treatment technologies.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with local Texas clients (City of Houston, Austin Water, etc.)
Background in advanced wastewater treatment technologies.

Transportation Project Manager - Hybrid - Primary Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
Participate in business development tasks such as attendance at client and peer events, participation in professional organizations, writing proposals, winning business, strengthening existing client relationships, and developing new client relationships.
Manage transportation projects, including negotiating contracts with clients/subconsultants, setting and maintaining project budgets, managing project teams, and overseeing projects.
Use exemplary communication and leadership skills when working with other internal project managers and project engineers to manage the technical teams for successful project completion.
Act as the main point of contact with clients, subconsultants, and project team members.

Requirements:
Transportation Project Manager - Hybrid - Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university
Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Wisconsin.
Minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in WisDOT and local government transportation engineering, including a minimum of at least two (2) years of project management and business development experience.
A strong understanding of the WisDOT design process
Applicable U.S. based work experience
