JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION: Coordinates and consolidates domestic and international systems to support shipments. Ensures lowest cost transportation by analyzing company and customer needs, researching transportation methods and auditing carrier costs and performances. May interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses. May maintain logs and compile information on routes, rates and services on various vendors. Plans and coordinates fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance service and repair, and disposal of trucks, and hires and/or interacts with common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate. CAREER LEVEL DESCRIPTION: Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a team or like teams of employees in the professional, business support and/or operations support career streams MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY: Manages activities of a team that range from routine to moderately complex; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Typically, does not spend more than 20% of time performing the same work as those supervised. Would usually have 1 or more of the following responsibilities: hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and/or pay reviews. MANAGEMENT SCOPE/BREADTH: Supervises team members who perform either a single task, or multiple but closely related tasks. Interacts with other supervisors and/or other functional areas to complete assigned tasks. With responsibility for first or second shift, the Supervisor continually monitors efficiency and quality metrics, assigns work and provides coaching to supervised staff, and addresses a variety of operational issues. The Supervisor directly contributes to Cardinal Health's customer service reputation by ensuring that shipments are on-time and of high quality, develops the WarehouseOperations talent pool, and enhances operational excellence.

The Consumer Health Logistics Center (CHLC) is Cardinal Health's newest Pharmaceutical Supply Chain operation in Groveport, Ohio. This facility, featuring some of the latest innovations in automation technology, is approximately 350,000 square feet and picks, packs, and ships consumer health products.
**_Location/Shift_**
+ This position will be an on-site position (5 days per week), based out of the Consumer Health Logistics Center
+ Second Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Recruit, select, train, manage and evaluate a team of warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of products and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards including cycle times, lines per hour, shortages, damaged units, missed dispatches, and missed scans, among others are achieved.
+ Monitor site productivity standards and hold associates accountable to daily, weekly, monthly metrics; provide timely feedback and initiate corrective action process when needed.
+ Responsible for continuous improvement projects and initiatives (ex. Gemba walks, Kaizen workshops, takt boards, etc.).
+ Perform daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate and ship merchandise in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
+ Coordinate maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairs.
+ Active engagement in employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
+ Prepare ad hoc reports, as necessary using Excel (or any other necessary programs).
+ Hold staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner while enforcing Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities.

Operational Excellence:

Education:

Certification / Licensure:

The anticipated salary range for this role is: $70k/yr-$75k/yr
Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 2pm until completion + Weekends as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Directs Operations activities and teammates for one or more functions within a Distribution Center (DC).
* Manages teammate time, attendance, and schedules (work shift, vacation) for assigned functional area(s).
* Provides proactive performance feedback to teammates within assigned functions, assisting teammates, providing coaching and corrective action where needed.
* Oversees assigned functions' training, ensuring teammates receive appropriate training for their assigned job functions. Makes succession planning recommendations, assisting in identifying, attracting, developing, coaching, and retaining talent.
* Works with Operations leadership to execute initiatives to improve DC metrics that drive financial performance.
* Recommends expenses and capital investments for assigned functions.
* Responsible for achievement of assigned functions' Key Performance Indicators in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Turnover.
* Makes recommendations and implements customer service for assigned functions, resolving issues relating to service quality, pick pack and ship requirements, and deliveries. Coordinates with local Account Management team, Transportation, Client Engagement Center (CEC), and Corporate Operations as needed.
* Supports and implements the conversion of new customers at the DC to ensure successful implementation of new business.
* Supervises assigned functions' adherence to company developed SOP's / WI's for warehouse management and transportation.
* Supports the monitoring and reporting of assigned functions' performance, assisting with implementing root cause analysis to consistently work towards improving teammate relations, customer quality, and operational efficiency.
* Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements regarding scheduled drugs, hazardous material, dating merchandise, storage requirements and reporting agencies (DOL, DEA, FDA, OSHA, etc.). Acts as the Designated Representative (DR) for the DC where required by licensing and compliance laws / regulations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree required (or equal level of work experience)
* 3 or more years of professional supply chain or warehouseoperations experience exhibiting leadership capability, preferably within the healthcare/medical/medical device industry
* Or any combination of relevant education and experience to meet the above requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
* Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, distribution, and/or warehouse management best practices.
* Financial acumen including prior profit and loss responsibilities.
* Ability to work fast and effectively within a matrix environment.
* Demonstrated leadership potential and people management skills with an ability to lead, coach and mentor all levels of teammates.
* Proven team building skills, both internal and external, with the ability to motivate and direct the work of others.
* Exceptional customer relationship skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to influence senior level management.
