Purpose
The purpose of the position is that the Education Coordinator (EC) supports the Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve (Reserve) and the University of Texas Marine Science Institute (UTMSI) by developing, coordinating, and delivering environmental education programs and curriculum for K-12 students, the public, and community audiences.
This position plays a key role in creating innovative, standards-aligned programming and implementing high-quality, hands-on learning experiences both onsite and in the field. The EC supervises the education specialists, volunteer coordinator, aquarists, and interns associated with the education program. This position is located in Port Aransas, Tx.
Responsibilities
Education Program Strategic Planning, Development, and Budget Management and Reporting: Develop and implement an education strategy aligned with the Reserve management plan and the goals of the National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) system, including operating policies and procedures for the education program. Maintain and analyze budgets and accounts, including gifts and grants, assigned to UTMSI and Reserve education programs, such as K-12 Ed Services including reservations for the ERC Dorm, Bay Education Center, Teachers on the Estuaries (TOTE), NERR EDU and grant accounts. Report progress to funders and the Reserve's lead agencies and contribute to educational efforts within UTMSI, UT Austin, and NOAA.
Supervision and Leadership: Provide leadership, professional development opportunities, support and supervision for the Education Team. Lead the hiring process, manage performance and resolve personnel issues. Provide oversite and guidance for Volunteer Services Program. Occasionally serve on committees or boards that guide education efforts in the region, state or NERR System
PK - 12 and Post-secondary Education: Direct and maintain standards for design, implementation and assessment of all school and public education programs and experiences. Lead the development and implementation of the Teachers on the Estuary education program, a place-based and outdoor education mentoring program that provides professional learning opportunities and collaborative mentoring for formal PK-12 educators. Lead the development and implementation of the K-12 Estuarine Education Program (KEEP), working with NERRS colleagues and local partners to deliver estuarine and watershed-based training to students in grades K through 12. Plan and implement accessible field experiences and project-based learning opportunities that integrate state and national educational standards and research activities in the area of the Reserve. Direct and maintain standards for design, implementation and assessment of all school and public education programs and experiences, such as Exploration Labs, Field Experiences, Teacher Workshops, Tours, Exhibits, R/V Katy Excursions, SOS Programs, Community Engagements, and Summer Science. Facilitate opportunities for UTMSI and UT Austin instructors to use the reserve for field and lab experiences in their classes.
Cross Program Support: Collaborate with Reserve Sector Coordinators, as well as UTMSI faculty, students and science staff, to integrate research and program efforts into education and outreach experiences, programs and exhibits/displays (including trails, PMSEC, BEC, and Fennessey Ranch). Coordinate and/or contribute to funding proposals that support and expand Reserve and UTMSI education and outreach.
Partnerships: Cultivate and manage small and large-scale collaborative programs and partnerships to support and extend Reserve mission, within and outside of MSI and UT Austin. Represent UTMSI and Reserve education programs, efforts and advancement within NERRS, and with other regional, state and national organizations, agencies, or associations. Generate and maintain partnerships with local school districts, educational and environmental organizations and agencies to develop responsive programming.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the biological, physical, or environmental sciences;
Four years of recent experience presenting formal or informal education or interpretation programs;
One year of experience providing oversight of and supervision in an environmental, youth or community development, or education-related program;
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills that contribute to positive and productive workplace relationships, effective leadership and sustained partnerships;
Experience developing and implementing environmental education programs;
Familiarity with common Microsoft Windows software, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
Basic knowledge of environmental ecology; and
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental education or interpretation, water resources, marine sciences, natural resource management, conservation, or a related field;
Knowledge of ecology, history and resource management issues related to Texas or the Gulf of Mexico coast;
Experience developing engaging community programming, interpretive exhibits and materials;
Demonstrated success in developing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs for various audiences utilizing a variety of educational techniques, methods, and modes;
Demonstrated experience developing effective partnerships or coalitions with community partners and local governments; and
Prior experience on small vessels and conducting water activities.
Salary Range
$55,000+
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing)
Working Conditions
Combination of office, classroom, laboratory, and outdoor field environments.
Year-round exposure to variable weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, wind, and occasional coastal storms.
Fieldwork may involve boat-based operations, wading in shallow waters, and walking over uneven, sandy, or muddy terrain.
Monday-Friday schedule with occasional evenings, weekends, or overnight travel for programs, outreach events, and national meetings.
Lifting and carrying of educational materials and field equipment (up to ~25 lbs).
Potential travel within the Reserve boundaries and to partner sites, as well as to attend trainings or education-focused national conferences.

Purpose
To administer all aspects of the graduate program in the Department of Philosophy, working closely with the Graduate Studies Committee and Chair, including academic employment.
Responsibilities

* Recruiting and Admissions: Manage administration of student recruiting, admissions, and new student orientation. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years' experience working with college students in an administrative or advising capacity. Demonstrated initiative and follow-through; tact; diplomacy, and judgment in dealing with students, faculty, staff, and administrators; punctuality and professional demeanor. Purpose
General Counseling and Mental Health Center, is seeking to fill one (1) positions as the coordinator of our Mindful Eating Program. Must be licensed at Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist.This position will provide short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, prevention and outreach services to undergraduate and graduate students with emphasis on supporting students who present with disordered eating and/or body image difficulties.
Responsibilities
Provide short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, prevention and outreach services to undergraduate and graduate students with emphasis on supporting students who present with disordered eating and/or body image difficulties.
* Conduct initial assessments of students' presenting concerns. Conduct short-term counseling with students referred for service.
* Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all service contacts as required by center policies and procedures.
* Develop and implement a good blend of programmatic interventions which address the psycho-social mental health needs of students as applicable
* Identify group assignment preferences and propose/develop new groups, as appropriate.
* Initiate advertising/recruitment and screening for group.
* Facilitate groups in accordance with service agreement.
* Demonstrate knowledge about group counseling and/or seek appropriate training.
Reviews client record to determine the progress, effectiveness, and appropriateness of treatment services offered. Maintains current, accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal law, professional ethics, and Counseling and Mental Health Center, CMHC, policies.
Provide clinical consultation to others on an as-needed basis and seeks consultation when appropriate. Provide urgent care services as necessary to students.
* Works collaboratively and cooperatively with other mental health professionals on CMHC's multidisciplinary staff and other university departments and organizations
* Develops linkages with key contacts of the designated population or issue for the purpose of developing and implementing programmatic interventions which generate substantial participation by students.
Provide clinical training and supervision to social work and psychology interns, as well as pre-doctoral psychology practicum students.
* Provides individual supervision of interns, practicum students, or psychiatric residents.
* Provides individual supervision of group co-leaders.
* Supervises interns' supervision of practicum students.

* Offers and supervises preceptorships and apprenticeships for interns.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Experience in high demand outpatient or inpatient mental health setting.
* Experience providing culturally competent treatment to a varied client population.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Two (2) years' experience providing services to college aged persons with disordered eating and/or body image difficulties
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience in working with serious mental illness.
* At least 3 years of significant experience in providing short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to a culturally varied population.
* At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in high demand outpatient or inpatient mental health settings.
* At least 3 years of experience providing crisis intervention, triage, care coordination, and brief therapy to young adults and/or college students.
* Experience working in a college/university counseling center or outpatient mental health setting.
* Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health providers.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with campus personnel, such as professionals in academic affairs and other student services providers.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a large system, and to participate and collaborate effectively in a large mental health services agency.

Purpose
The K-12 ProgramCoordinator's role will be to support the mission of the School of Civic Leadership by coordinating and managing events, facilitating teacher and prospective student engagement, and fostering strong relationships with partners. This position ensures seamless execution of K-12 teacher and prospective student events, overseeing logistics, resource management, and communication efforts.
Responsibilities
Provide logistical support for SCL and partner events around Texas (travel required).
Oversee K-12 event logistics, schedule events.
Oversee the full event lifecycle in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Recruitment & Civic Education, ensuring refreshments are ordered, technology needs are met, and unexpected challenges are addressed promptly.
Assist and collaborate with faculty involved in programs and events.
Develop and manage agendas for speakers and attendees, including coordinating travel arrangements, processing stipends and reimbursements, and handling related logistical needs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the program, responding to inquiries and providing information as needed.
Direct event set up and break down, ensuring necessary resources are available. Greet teachers and students with a warm welcome. Coordinate with appropriate partners for virtual events to have adequate technology set up. Assist event hosts as necessary.
Write in-depth summaries of K-12 program events, providing content for School of Civic Leadership forum, and report relevant metrics.
Maintain event supplies, ensure adequate amount of print materials, signs, and swag. Create and actively maintain program supply inventory list, ordering additional materials as necessary. Purchase materials using various approved vendors by Procard and purchase order in collaboration with Business Affairs purchasing team.
Manage registration links and RSVPs for virtual and in-person K-12 teacher and prospective student events.
Attend internal meetings to stay abreast of internal and University purchasing policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related field with three years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience coordinating events, programs, or projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Experience supporting logistics for in-person and virtual events, including scheduling, registration, travel coordination, and on-site support.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing summaries, reports, and event documentation.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Purpose
The Academic ProgramCoordinator supports the McCombs Success Scholars (MSS) program through academic advising, student persistence initiatives, and programcoordination. The Administrative ProgramCoordinator supports various programs within the healthcare system, ensuring smooth operations. Responsibilities

Purpose
Lead program communications and marketing for Texas Robotics.
Responsibilities
Marketing - Lead marketing for all of Texas Robotics including managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, BlueSky, Youtube), website updates, designing and printing digital and print invitations, announcements, event programs, flyers, building signage, templates, Texas Robotics program slide decks, brochures, faculty research 1 pagers, designing swag, graphic design, and branding needs. Work with external partners as needed for swag, website updates, etc.
Communications - Manage the robotics listservs, publicize Texas Robotics' participation at major robotics conferences, create post-event news articles, and maintain records of faculty publications & patents. Draft email communications, fall & spring newsletters, and presentations as needed. Collaborate with marketing teams in CS, ME, ECE, and ASE to ensure uniform branding and cross-departmental communications.
Administrative support - Perform general administrative duties not limited to managing the central robotics email account, media asks, and scheduling meetings as needed for the Director and Managing Director.
Supervision - Supervise the communications student employee to help manage social media platforms, graphic design, and photography. Assign tasks, provide regular feedback, help with goal-setting, and give clear communication about job expectations.
Events - Help with event operations on the day of large events, annual impact reports, and robotics tours.

Purpose

Responsibilities
Lead Strategic Engagement with Health & Well Being Student Organizations

Be the first point of contact on health and wellness related matters for student organizations. Develop Well Being Initiatives for Student Organizations
Lead the Well being in Student Organizations program by creating toolkits, trainings, and consultation opportunities that help student leaders embed wellness into their groups. Serve as the primary liaison to Sorority and Fraternity Life and integrate evidence‑based public health strategies into student organization programming. Develop wellness resources, coordinate leadership retreats or summits, track engagement and outcomes, and collaborate with the Dean of Students Student Organizations unit to strengthen and expand wellness efforts across the student organization community.

Supervise Student Staff, Interns, and Project Teams

Strengthen the peer educator community through retreats, trainings, and social events, and lead recruitment efforts for new members. Develop course materials, training curricula, and evaluation tools that help students grow as confident, skilled health advocates.
Oversee Online Health Education Modules for All Incoming Students
Take the lead on implementing UT Austin's required online health education modules. Coordinate custom content, manage timelines, and collaborate with partners across campus to ensure a smooth, student centered rollout.

Purpose
The Butler School of Music (BSOM) Scholarships Coordinator facilitates our music scholarships program, including selection, awarding, disbursement and communications. The coordinator also assists with prospective music student visits and events.
Responsibilities
* Administer BSOM scholarships and support Scholarship Awarding Committee Awarding process. Manage the full lifecycle of BSOM scholarships. Assign student awardees specific scholarships for which they qualify. Continue to verify student eligibility at key points in the academic calendar, ensuring that students meet donor, university, and music school requirements. Create placeholder scholarships for multi-year recruitment awards. Verify student eligibility at key points; ensure donor and university requirements are met. Input awards in the university's scholarship management systems and troubleshoot disbursement issues. Monitor fund balances and acceptance of awards; adjust as needed. Support the Butler School of Music Student Awards Committee (SAC); serve as a resource on award balances, timelines and procedures, and attend committee meetings. Communicate Non-resident Tuition Exemption (NRTE) awards to COFA Scholarships Manager.
* Coordinate Reporting, Technology, and Cross-Unit Communication. Create reports concerning student awardees and scholarship resources for SAC, BSOM leadership, and the College of Fine Arts Dean's Office. Complete training and stay up to date as a regular user of university technology related to: scholarship administration (LASSO), accounting (FRMS), donor stewardship (VIP). Maintain regular communications with staff involved in scholarship awarding, student admissions, development, and accounting to ensure alignment and accuracy. Liaise with Mariachi on ensemble scholarships to ensure awarding procedures and timelines are followed.
* Coordinate student scholarship communications. Communicate with admitted and enrolled students about Butler School of Music scholarship awards, including but not limited to application procedures, eligibility, award information, disbursement timelines, and donor stewardship. Serve as primary contact for students with questions about their LHB scholarship awards. Request thank-you letters from students who receive scholarships funded by high-profile supporters of the Butler School; review, provide feedback when necessary, and approve student submissions. Print and distribute student letters.
* Coordinate and award Longhorn Band scholarships. Create a roster of validated LHB Scholarship candidates by merging data from multiple sources, including the scholarship management system, official course rosters, and internal LHB roster. Create the LHB Continuing Band Member Scholarship Application to support scholarship eligibility and tracking. Work collaboratively with LHB directors to match LHB members to available scholarships for which they are eligible. Enter awards in scholarships system and troubleshoot disbursement issues with LHB Senior Administrative Associate.
* Coordinate ad-hoc and special scholarship processes. Coordinate evaluation of enrolled music students who complete the College of Fine Arts Continuing Student Scholarship Application. Facilitate the nomination of music students for college-wide, university-wide and external scholarships (e.g., Texas Exes, Presser Foundation). Ensure compliance and timely processing for non-standard ad-hoc awards. Coordinate with faculty who request these awards and facilitate the intake form for their submissions.
* Coordinate and assist with prospective student visits, events and ad-hoc projects. Coordinate visiting prospective student "Shadow Days" and assist with other events as requested. Assist the Director of Admissions and Scholarships and Scholarships Manager with additional ad-hoc projects.
Required Qualifications

Purpose
Serve as a primary career services contact for students in an academic department within the College of Natural Sciences (CNS). Partner with university staff, faculty, alumni, and prospective employers to provide career guidance and resources to a community of more than 10,000 undergraduate students across the college. Empower students to engage in early career exploration to create and implement meaningful career goals. Work towards the strategic goals and metrics of Career Success initiatives. Advance our core mission of fostering wellness, belonging, and success for all students.
Responsibilities
Individual Career Coaching: Provide personalized career coaching to students and recent alumni addressing career exploration, internship and job opportunities, employment trends, graduate school, networking, interview preparation and offer evaluation. Assist students in identifying and articulating their skills, interests, and values in relation to career paths. Develop individualized career action plans and provide ongoing support to students in achieving their goals. Collect and utilize occupational data and current labor market information. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and program outcomes.
At-Scale Career Coaching: Design and deliver engaging workshops and presentations to large groups on career and professional development topics. Facilitate group discussions and activities to promote peer learning and support. Develop and maintain workshop materials and resources. Participate in campus-wide initiatives and events to promote career services. Coordinate with faculty and staff for presentation requests.
Communications: Manage the collection and dissemination of information about employers and employment opportunities to students. Utilize communications tools to increase CNS student engagement with the career platform, CNS Career Services website, resources, coaching services, and events. Communicate regularly about CNS Career Services offerings with CNS faculty, staff, and student organizations.
Resource Development and Management: Develop and maintain up-to-date career resources, including online guides, handouts, and presentations. Stay informed about current labor market trends and career development best practices. Utilize career management technology and platforms to support student career development.
Representation & Collaboration: Represent the career services programs in on-campus and off-campus meetings and conferences. Promote collaboration, information exchange, and professional development for students, staff, and faculty related to career services. Establish and maintain effective external and internal communications with employers and other career services personnel for collaboration and professional development.
Other duties as assigned, including supporting special projects and staffing events within CNS.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in mentoring, coaching, career services, health professions, natural sciences professions, human resources, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Time management, interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and excellent oral and written communication.
Must be able to occasionally travel including overnight travel, work some weekends and evenings.

Demonstrated experience working with or coaching STEM majors in higher education career services.
Experience with corporate recruiting, managing internship and experiential learning programs, or other career-oriented opportunities is a plus.
