Job Title: Class B-2 Mechanic Department: Fleet Maintenance Reports To: Urban Fleet Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Salary: $20.85 per hour SUMMARY Responsible for performing various maintenance related duties of the Urban Division of HCTD, under the direction of the HCTD Fleet Manager or designee, including but not limited to the tasks detailed below. Must perform all duties in a safe manner. Only Two positions currently available: 5am - 2pm or 11pm - 8pm ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Perform basic service for fleet related to running repairs, such as light bulbs, flashers, minor repairs, and, perform higher levels of service and repairs, to include brakes, suspensions, air conditioners, electrical, as skills are developed; Support and assist in the performance of all maintenance and repairs on the vehicle fleet "in house" when possible; Assists in making major repairs to body, chassis, engines and other component systems.
