The continued expansion of the firm led to the 2017 decision to rename and rebrand from RJR Engineering to Encorus Group.
Joe was personally awarded 2017 Young Engineer of the Year through the WNY chapter of New York State Society of Professional Engineers and recognized by Buffalo Business First as a 2017 Buffalo 612′ C-Level Executive honoree.
Opp joined the firm in 2017 after holding similar marketing and business development roles within architecture, engineering and specialty lighting firms over several years.
In 2017, WSP acquired three more companies in the United States and two in Latin America.
In 2018, the acquisition of US-based international professional services firm Louis Berger added 5,000 employees to WSP’s workforce.

The completion of the Golder acquisition in 2021 added approximately 1,000 employees to our workforce in the Asia-Pacific region.
