John Shufeldt, founder of NextCare Urgent Care, has hired a merger and acquisition expert to take over his role as CEO to take the company to the next level. John Julian is starting today as CEO of NextCare, which operates 56 clinics in six states. He comes from Lincare, a respiratory therapy and inpatient home care company, where he has helped boost company revenue to more than $1.2 billion over the past 11 years.

Kyle Williams is a Chief Revenue Officer at MeMD and is based in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has worked as Senior Lead Consultant at Univers Workplace Solutions, Producer at Lockton Companies, and President at Benefit Protect. Kyle studied at University of Arizona between 1989 and 1993 and Brophy College Preparatory between 1986 and 1989.

I am a subspecialty trained, board certified, neurologist and have also been a founder and key executive in several ground-breaking entrepreneurial, startup healthcare technology and publishing companies. Several of these startups have been acquired by major, well-recognized companies (eg, WebMD, Gannett Communications). I played a key role in the pioneering and evolution of online healthcare publishing and education (1996-2013) and have recently focused my interest in the frontier areas of medical devices and telehealth/telemedicine. In addition to my 25+ years of clinical and healthcare industry experience I have also completed 2 formal healthcare business education programs (Certified Physician Executive; Masters in Healthcare Management). I am also a Fellow in the American Association for Physician Leadership. In the midst of the ever changing healthcare environment I look forward to a continued executive role in developing technologies that will upgrade clinical quality, streamline care management, improve clinical outcomes, and decrease health system costs.
