Job Title: CrisisCounselor - Adult (Davidson County)
Schedules available:
1. 7pm-7am, Thursday to Saturday
2. 7pm-7am, Friday to Sunday
JOB SUMMARY: Provide face-to-face and telephone crisis intervention services in the least restrictive manner to people experiencing a mental health emergency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct crisis assessment and crisis intervention services to appropriately address the needs of consumers experiencing a psychiatric emergency.
Responding to crisis calls for assessment and intervention in the walk-in center, community, ER's, school's, etc.
Clinically assess for the least restrictive alternative to meet the needs of the consumers experiencing a psychiatric emergency.
When hospitalization is necessary, make appropriate referrals to facilities equipped to meet needs of the consumers.
Make appropriate referrals to Diversion Services to ensure they have necessary clinical information.
Actively participate in consult process with supervisory staff when dispositioning cares.
Provide follow-up services as indicated in the policies and procedures and as set forth in Title 33.
Develop individualized plans to meet needs of consumers in crisis.
Respond to requests for face-to-face assessment in a timely manner.
Maintain appropriate customer service skills at all times.
Assist Triage Counselors in answering and dispositioning incoming calls as needed.
Provide telephone counseling when needed.
Maintain accurate clinical records and complete documentation within departmental guidelines.
Coordinate services as needed with care management teams and provide consultation, as needed, with care management teams.
Assist community agencies with information and/or dispositions.
Educate community agencies as needed on crisis services as directed by supervisory staff.
Assist teammates as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
A mental health professional with specialized training in crisis intervention with a minimum of a Master's degree in a related field (counseling, psychology or social work)
Valid Tennessee Driver's License
Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation and Satisfactory Drug Screen Report
Personal Automobile Insurance
Position requires the candidate to have a personal vehicle; candidate must be able to respond to crisis calls for assessment and intervention in the walk-in center, within the community, ER's, school's, etc.

Job Title: Resident Counselor, Behavioral Care Center
Job Summary: Assist consumers with on-site problem solving, development and implementation of plans to meet immediate and/or long-term needs while in emergency psychiatric services.
Job Location: 433 Gay St, Nashville, TN 37219
Schedules Available:
Mon-Fri, 8:00AM to 4:30PM
Wed-Sat, 8:00AM to 6:30PM
Position Responsibilities:
1. Actively engage consumers during his/her stay to effectively intervene and problem-solve during a crisis episode.
2. Maintain continuous and consistent contact with consumers while admitted to Treatment programs.
3. Complete all required paperwork by the end of each shift.
4. When appropriate, advocate for consumer's needs: (a) Social Security benefits, representative payee, financial assistance; (b) TennCare; (c) Food Stamps; (d) Housing; (e) Set appropriate appointments, i.e., psychiatric, medical, dental, therapy; (f) Assist consumer in referrals to alcohol and other drug treatment, and (g) Transportation.
5. Assist consumers in understanding their psychiatric diagnosis and medication.
6. Communicate with and support consumers during his/her crisis episode to seek resolution to his/her crisis and reintegrate into his/her primary support systems.
7. Maintain a safe therapeutic environment free of sharps and other potentially harmful objects.
8. Search personal belongings of each consumer entering Treatment programs.
9. Discuss precipitating events and possible alternatives with each consumer.
10. Monitor consumer's behavior, level of cooperation, and ability to remain safe while in Treatment programs.
11. Assist consumer with finding community resources.
12. Facilitate consumer groups as needed.
13. Complete regular safety checks on each consumer.
14. Use de-escalation skills with consumers to avoid any potential problems.
15. Provide consumers with needed supplies (food, toiletries, etc).
16. Participate in cross-training in all EPS Treatment programs.
17. Work collaboratively with MCRT staff.
18. Make Customer Service a priority with internal and external customers.
19. Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, and consumers.
20. Demonstrate proficiency in taking vital signs.
21. Assist nursing with UDS, obtaining and interpretation.
22. Assists with organizing supplies as needed.
23. Maintain flexibility in the workplace.
24. Attend team meetings, supervision, and training as required.
25. Reports all maintenance/facility issues to Supervisor.
26. Follow Universal Precautions policies and procedures.

What You'll Do
Lead 2-3 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework.
Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups' mission.
Qualifications
Master's degree in the mental/behavioral health discipline OR students enrolled in Masters' programs pursuing the credentials in the following bullet point.
Active or currently under supervision to obtain the following credentials: MFT, LMFT, LPC, LPC-MHSP, LMSW, LCSW, LADAC level 1 & 2, LSPE, Licensed Psychologist/Psy.D. RN & LPN also acceptable with experience leading therapeutic groups & supporting documentation.
Experience leading Group Therapy.
High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.

Your Job as a Substance Use Counselor:
The Substance Use Counselor is instrumental in our patient's treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. Substance Use Counselors provide high quality, compassionate care through various mediums which include both individual and group counseling sessions.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
Initial assessments as well as follow up assessments.
Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
Provide crisis intervention to patients, as needed.
Provide case management duties for patients, ensuring individualized quality care as needed.
Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, as needed.

Qualifications
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required;
Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field;
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, such as outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.
Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention techniques.
Documentation experience, including maintaining clinical notes, treatment plans, and progress updates in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards).
Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team with medical staff, case managers, and peer support specialists.
Licenses/Certifications:

Substance Abuse Counselors are responsible for:
Completes comprehensive assessments of clients' substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plan.
