Responsibilities
The Radiologic Tech C provides quality technical imaging services in the operating room. This position is also responsible for the performance of all other general diagnostic tests/procedures to include portable radiography on pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
Requirements
* Must possess a high school diploma or GED

* 2 years as general diagnostic technologist
* License Requirements: Must be licensed in the State of Maryland

To provide diagnostic Mammography services to include clerical duties as required. To perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW mission and philosophy.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform screening and diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills and abilities required for age of patient served, to include: Routine, biopsy/special procedure examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Image acquisition and processing. Assist patient/transport.
File work. Reception/computer. Quality control functions and troubleshoot equipment. Physician/staff communication. Restocking supplies/cleaning. Assists with cardiovascular tests and record patients hemodynamic activity using specialized electronic test equipment, recording devices and laboratory instruments. Sets up, maintains and troubleshoots Intra Aortic Balloon Pump when required. Primary Duties:

Essential Functions
Performs CT and X-Ray procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures and addresses patient concerns.
Produces computerized tomographic and conventional radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures.
Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology.
Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film, develops and documents PACS imaging.
Operates equipment safely and maintains SimonMed standards while performing call types of procedures.
Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and facility staff.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Works under general supervision.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an X-ray Technologist, preferably in an outpatient or clinical setting
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, anatomy, and patient positioning

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
