Assists Physician in administering opaque media (contrast) Rotates assignments within the department by assigned shifts as required to meet departmental needs Processes Images as appropriate for Modality (CR/DR/Film) and is proficient in utilizing the PACS system (Picture Archival Communications) Maintains adequate records of examinations/dose/contrast as directed, and appropriately utilizing two patient identifier with each patient exam Assists with movement of patients (rooming/transport) Assists in the development/optimization of technical factors for radiographic procedures May assist in equipment or procedures not routinely taught in school May assist in the training of students Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with designate areas or procedures as required Performs all general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties as determined by employer. Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of environment and supplies Ensure utilization of non-expired supplies by checking stock regularly and using "first in first out" rule of re stocking Produces Radiographs, positions and transfers patients, and provides immobilization devices as necessary to obtain images Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards.
