1945 – Mid-South Sales was started in Helena, Arkansas by M.O. Rasberry
1962 – Mid-South Sales becomes incorporated (Mid-South Sales, Inc.)
There have been a lot of changes since our humble beginnings in 1967 but through it all Mid-South Wire remains true to its family values and steadfast in our commitment to customer service.
1968 – Bought Tapp Palmer Oil Company in Marianna, Arkansas
The Mid-South team was a unique group with Jerry Rogers in the role of company truck driver from the beginning and Stan Fossick coming on board in 1969 to handle sales.
In 1969, the entire Dierks Forests, Inc. was sold to Weyerhaeuser.

1974 – Built first self-serve gasoline station in Helena, Arkansas
In the summer of 1975, the Cumberland River flooded and Mid-South was flooded as well.
1979 – Purchased McGaugh Oil Company in Hughes, Arkansas
1981 – Purchased F.E. Scott Oil Company in Blytheville, Arkansas
Mid South was started in 1986 as Hulett Service Company, a small machinery repair service.

1995 – Bought lubricants business from South Arkansas Oil Company in Pine Bluff, Arkansas
1998 – Sold 20 convenience stores and 2 truck stops in Eastern Arkansas to concentrate on wholesale oil and fuel business.
2000 – Started building new bulk oil and fuel plants which now include the 7 locations in Arkansas
2001 – Purchased Matthews Oil Company in Jonesboro, Arkansas
2005 – Purchased Lone Star wholesale fuel business in Jonesboro, Arkansas
On May 2, 2010, when a 1000- year flood devastated Nashville, Mid-South’s location and their offices took a direct hit from the rising waters of the Cumberland River.
2015 – December 1 – Acquired assets related to Industrial Lubricants Inc. of Memphis, TN
