The Data & Research Coordinator provides advanced research, data analysis, and evaluation expertise for the Transitions, Tribal & Transformation (TT&T) Division in alignment with Money Follows the Person (MFP) and MFP Tribal Initiative (MFP-TI). This position leads end-to-end data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform program planning, strategy, forecasting and compliance ensuring adherence to federal and state grant requirements.
Responsibilities include:
+ Provide complex analyses and translate findings into concise reports, dashboards, and decision briefs that inform management decision-making, strategic planning, and program evaluation
+ Partner across ADSA, MNIT, other state agencies, and federal partners, serving as the primary analytic advisor to policy, budget, and legislative staff, they deliver cost-benefit analyses and impact modeling that shape funding priorities and program improvements for evidence-based legislative proposals
+ Lead the development, management, and maintenance of data systems, datasets, and reporting tools so that the TT&T division, Tribal partners, and federal partners receive accurate, timely information; in order to comply with enhanced federal mandates in Minnesota and meet statutory, grant, and CMS reporting requirements; and to enable policy and business aligned interpretations of program data and structures, ensuring decisions reflect policy-driven data nuances
+ Coordinate collaborative efforts with internal, federal agencies and national partners to align MFP and MFP-TI with related reform and performance initiatives, and design and coordinate highly technical data and rates analyses, reports, and presentations for TT&T leadership, in order to ensure consistent outcomes, accurate reporting, improved program coordination, and effective management of MFP/MFP-TI programs and grants, so that programs operate cohesively, leaders make timely data-informed decisions, and compliance and oversight requirements are met
+ Design, validate, and maintain analytical methods and standard operating procedures for stakeholder-engaged quantitative and qualitative assessments of MFP and MFP-TI projects, in order to enable evidence-based prioritization of opportunities that enhance Minnesota's Home Community Based Services (HCBS) system, so that access and outcomes measurably improve
+ Participate in assigned projects and collaborative related research efforts within TT&T, Aging & Disability Services Administration and across DHS in order to provide technical support, ensure accurate data reporting and contribute to program operations

3 years professional experience with data sets, systems, interfaces and programming. Experience must include the following:
+ Experience with statistical analysis sufficient to develop reports and summaries

Internship Summary:
NCCPA offers an eight-week internship in summer 2026 for students working toward their Ph.D. in psychometrics (or other relevant fields), with at least two years of graduate coursework. This program is scheduled to begin in June and conclude by the end of August. While interns will work remotely, during the first week of the internship, they will work closely with the psychometric team to develop a research plan for the remaining weeks. Research projects:
During the program, interns will have the opportunity to gain experience in operational psychometric tasks involved in administering and scoring a certification assessment and to take the lead, in collaboration with psychometric staff, on a research project that supports NCCPA's exam-related research agenda. Current topics of interest to NCCPA revolve primarily around longitudinal assessment. Specific areas of interest include

The Customer Research Intern will support the Customer ResearchAnalyst on multiple ongoing research programs, gaining hands-on experience in professional market research and data analysis in a dynamic transportation environment. JOB DUTIES
* Conduct quantitative data analysis including descriptive statistics, performance reports, weekly dashboards, and specialized topic analyses
* Manage data collection activities and monitor compliance with sampling plans
* Clean and manage data files to ensure integrity and accuracy
* Code and categorize qualitative customer feedback (complaints, compliments, suggestions) using established taxonomy systems
* Create data visualizations, charts, and PowerPoint templates aligned with branding guidelines for stakeholder presentations
* Write research findings for internal customers, conveying complex information clearly to non-researcher audiences
* Support survey design, questionnaire development, and methodology assessment
* Assist with fieldwork operations including data quality checks, compliance monitoring, schedule coordination, and field data collection
* Support passenger flow analytics, including dwell time analysis and population extrapolation
* Collaborate with MAC teams across Customer Experience, Operations, Finance, and Strategic Marketing & Communications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

**Minimum Qualifications**

The Division of Fish and Wildlife is seeking to hire one (1) Wildlife Research Intern located in Madelia. Housing is available at the Research Station in Madelia, but some restrictions apply This internship is intended for students majoring in the field of Wildlife Biology/Ecology, Wildlife Management, or Conservation Biology. This position provides interns with an introduction to wildlife research and management through on-the-job training. The wildlife research intern will learn about and help implement DNR/Division of Fish and Wildlife (FAW) wildlife research and population monitoring projects, primarily upland game (e.g., pheasants and wild turkeys) and ungulate (e.g., white-tailed deer and elk) projects led by staff in the Farmland Wildlife Populations and Research Group (FaWPRG), by assisting in the collection of field data and biological samples, processing of samples, recording of observational notes, entry of data into electronic files, maintenance of equipment and supplies, and writing summaries of activities.
The intern will assist FaWPRG staff in all aspects of fieldwork, including vegetation/habitat sampling, camera trap deployment, and capture of wild game species (e.g., Canada geese, elk) for marking and radiotracking purposes. Communicating with private landowners and members of the public in a professional manner will be necessary. The work can be physically demanding, including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and walking on uneven terrain (including grasslands and wetlands) while transporting a backpack and/or equipment. Exposure to the elements (primarily heat, direct sun exposure, and humidity) and biting insects will also occur. The intern must be comfortable working as both part of a team and alone, often in remote locations. The position will be based at the FaWPRG in Madelia, MN with travel to other research stations and field sites. Some overnight travel will occasionally be required to meet project data collection needs. Driving will be necessary including on minimum maintenance roads and limited access areas where 4WD may be needed; field trucks are provided.
This position will be required to work a shifting schedule based on project needs, including some early mornings and late evenings, and weekends; schedules will be provided in advance. The anticipated start and end dates for this position are approximately mid-May through mid- to late August.
Current active upland game and ungulate research and monitoring projects that the intern will be involved in assisting with include:
+ An insecticide study to investigate the prevalence and concentrations of neonicotinoids (neonics) in pheasants and their grassland habitats, including: field sampling of soil, plants, and insects; and dissection of roosters and their tissues for later chemical analysis.
+ A camera trap study to estimate deer densities in the forest zone.
+ Goose banding opportunities in collaboration with area wildlife management staff.
+ Annual August roadside surveys to collect data on common farmland wildlife species including pheasants, partridge, rabbits, doves, cranes, and deer.
+ A new research project investigating the life history characteristics of elk in northwest Minnesota, including adult and calf survival, movement, and causes of mortality
**Minimum Qualifications**
To be eligible for an internship, you must meet the following requirements:
1. You must be a student at an accredited educational institution; **AND**
2. Your advisor must certify that you will either receive academic credit or fulfill an academic requirement. The signature of a sponsoring academic instructor is required prior to beginning an internship.
