This position provides entry-level professional humanresources work and provides guidance and services in the areas of job classification, recruitment, staffing and selection, transactions and labor relations support for the Office of the State Auditor. This position ensures the requirements of all personnel statutes, collective bargaining agreements/plans, personnel rules and administrative procedures are met.
Principal responsibilities of the position include:
+ Perform staffing and recruitment responsibilities in a manner consistent with laws, rules, and union contract language for positions under specific bargaining unit contracts.
+ Research and analyze requests to establish new positions and requests to reclassify vacant and occupied positions in specific bargaining units in accordance with established policies and procedures; recommend and document final classification decisions.
+ Support HumanResources Department and compliance with employment laws and HR policies and procedures.
+ Lead humanresources payroll transactions.
+ Maintain OSA's performance management system and ensure that staff receive performance evaluations in a timely manner, and that evaluations are filed in electronic personnel files. Communicate with supervisors regarding performance evaluations and provide basic advice to supervisors on the performance management process and simple performance management issues.
+ Administer unemployment insurance claims.
This is a hybrid position requiring that work is performed from St. Paul office at least one (1) day per week.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Two (2) years of professional experience performing humanresources work in selection and classification or transactions related to recruitment, employment and staffing.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Demonstrated experience using applicant tracking systems.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of recruiting, including recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill positions.
+ Ability to collaborate and develop effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in HumanResources.
+ Prior humanresources employment experience in public government.
+ Knowledge of and experience with State of Minnesota or Minnesota State policies, procedures, and compensation systems.
+ Experience working in the Sema4 transaction system.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Requires occasional transport of less than 10 pounds, along with the ability to move through work space and maintain a stationary position through out the work day.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ To learn from and assist park resource manager or park manager in implementing resource management tasks such as: bat acoustics, small mammal surveys, planting site preparation, invasive species removal, vegetation management around the historic district
+ Assist park interpretive staff in the incorporation of resource management plans and activities into public interpretive programs, informational signs, and other visitor education projects.
+ To assist park operations staff and learn about all aspects of park management and visitor services including maintenance, public contact, campground and picnic area management, gift sales, and other operations.
**Minimum Qualifications**
To be eligible for an internship, you must meet the following requirements:
