• Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by Air Methods CBS. Responsible for reporting medical equipment failures and taking initial steps to
ensure repair of equipment as directed. Maintains adequate supplies onboard aircraft to deliver patient care. Keeps aircraft clean and orderly to insure rapid response to all transport requests.
• Participates in patient and referring institution follow-up and planned outreach marketing and education activities.

Summary/Objective
The service technician performs bumper-to-bumper service for vehicles brought to the dealership. This important position helps to ensure that our customers get quality work performed on their vehicles, resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction, as well as ensuring their vehicles are safe and comfortable to drive, leading to repeat business for many years.
Essential Functions
Conducts general repair and replacement services to include: brake pads and shoes, tires, wheel alignment, steering and suspension components, wheel bearings, exhaust systems, heating and
cooling systems, air conditioning, drive train, and accessory installations.
Performs maintenance services to include: oil changes, fluid exchanges, filter replacement, fuel system services, preventative maintenance, belt and hose replacement.
Performs evaluation services to include: charging system analysis, brake inspections, fluid leak evaluations, tire pressure and tread depth reading.
Conducts visual safety and courtesy inspections.
Performs diagnostic services to include: emissions control systems, drivability concerns, overheating, ABS and SRS systems, electrical and air conditioning systems.
Performs advanced repair and replacement services to include: timing belts, intake manifold gaskets, head gaskets, brake hydraulics, rear main seal, clutch, axle bearings, steering gear, sensors, switches and modules.
Use factory specifications as the standard in all repair, service and customization work.
Make 100% productivity the goal and keep as close to that as possible.
Receive service assignments from the service writer or service manager.
Have the repair work finished within the allotted time.
Set goals, develop skills and constantly increase efficiency skill level.
Submit your parts requests as soon as it is determined what is required for a particular job.
Keep the service writer or service manager informed of any supplemental work that may be required or of any delays to estimated completion time as you make those determinations so the customer can receive up to date information.
Aid service advisor as needed to write work orders, conduct test rides, interact with the customer, or in any other way you are able to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Make sure the proper paperwork is completed and filed after every job completion.
Keep your technical qualifications current by finishing any required training programs.
Take care that the vehicle is cleaner when the job is completed than when the customer dropped it off.
Make sure each job is thorough and complete to reduce return repairs. If the vehicle should be returned for additional work complete it quickly, correctly and cheerfully.
Provide excellent service for all customers whether external or internal, specifically offering dependable vehicle service.
Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized.
Performs all duties in a safe manner, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to management.
Shows when scheduled to work, on time, ready and able to perform essential job functions.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
Perform other tasks as directed.

Requirements
2 to 5 years' experience in an automotive related technician/mechanic role.
High School or GED preferred
ASE certification preferred but not required
Valid U.S. Drivers License, clean driving history

Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail

Work Environment

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours will vary to accommodate the service department working hours. This position regularly requires working evenings, weekends.
