Our veterinary practice was originally established as a satellite clinic by Doctor Frank Bartus in 1963.
In the early 1990's, Governor Caperton formed the Task Force on School Health.
During the 1995-96 school years, the number of SBHC sites grew to 17.
In 2002, there were still 34 SBHCs serving 43 schools in 17 counties.
In 2008, work began on updating standards and guidelines for SBHCs at a retreat held in early spring.
