Summary
Perdue Farms has an exciting opportunity to join our HR team in Lewiston! Our facility is looking for an Associate Relations Representative (HR Generalist). This role will be responsible and accountable for administration of the company approved new hire orientation program, establishing working relationships with management and associates to foster an environment of cooperative progress.
This position is located in Lewiston, North Carolina and is an on-site position. The hours for this position are, generally, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Effectively participates in the resolution of conflict in the workplace, coaches and counsels supervision on methods to improve absenteeism, turnover and plant efficiencies.
* Ensures consistent policy application in the resolution of issues addressed.
* Provides training to supervisory personnel on policies and procedures.
* Ensures newly hired associates receive an effective, timely, informative new hire orientation utilizing the company approved format and materials.
* Schedules, conducts, facilities, audits and identifies new methods to improve new hire orientation.
* Provides coaching and counseling to supervisory personnel improve the supervisors ability to effectively direct their workforce.
* Participates in Peer Review and Management Review process.
* Identifies, designs, trains, implements and audits new methods to reduce turnover.
Minimum Education
* Bachelors degree in HumanResources, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related field.
Experience Requirements
* 3 - 5 years experience.
* Proven success in writing, updating and auditing Affirmative Action Plans, thorough knowledge of I-9 requirements, experience in ADA, EEOC, DOL, OFCCP regulations and current law.
* Previous experience in working in a manufacturing environment; proven experience in problem-solving automated timekeeping systems and orientation of new associates.
* Must be able to multi-task and organize multiple projects.
* Requires strong analytical skills, analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.

May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Key Responsibilities
* Maintains and updates accurate physical and/or electronic HR records, databases, and personnel files to ensure full compliance with regulations.
* Processes employee changes of HRIS data as needed (i.e., legal name changes, updating addresses, contact information, internal transfers, promotions, organizational changes, pay changes, terminations, etc.).
* Helps coordinate, schedule, and prepare presentation materials and reports for internal and external meetings, training sessions, etc. Assists with internal and external audits and regulatory reporting.

* Completes onboarding processes for new hires by coordinating and facilitation new employee orientation (NEO), overseeing pre-employment screening processes (i.e., I-9, background check, etc.), creating or coordinating creation of employee badges, and coordinating first day schedule to ensure a positive new hire experience.
* Respectfully engages with candidates, team members, and leaders to address routine inquiries and concerns. Provides support for HR administration and/or employee relations issues by interpreting and communicating HR policies and supporting the investigation, documentation, and/or coordinating of disciplinary actions.
* Routes complex inquiries or issues to the appropriate HR personnel as needed.

* Serves as the first point of contact for supervisors and team members for routine employee relations matters, such as performance feedback, development, disciplinary actions, and HR programs/policies (i.e., benefits, leave of absence, etc.).

Key Responsibilities
* Assists in maintaining accurate physical and electronic records such as new hire paperwork, training, attendance, disciplinary actions, leave of absence, applicant tracking, etc.
* Compiles standard reports as needed.
* Updates electronic communication channels, bulletins boards, and other platforms to facilitate HR-related communications.
* Respectfully engages with candidates, team members, and leaders to address routine inquiries and concerns.
* Supports recruiting and onboarding activities which may include composing job posting for entry level roles, conducting phone screenings, preparing documentation for job offers, overseeing pre-employment screening process, overseeing the assignment and upkeep of plant lockers, etc.
* Coordinates and facilitates new employee orientation (NEO) and other training sessions as required.
* Contributes to the planning and coordination of employer sponsored events.
* Provides administrative support for HR programs such as benefits administration and annual open enrollment, talent management reviews and goal setting, annual compensation cycles, etc.

**Summary**
The overall purpose of this position is to work directly with The HR Recruitment team in accomplishing Daily and Weekly hiring goals. **Minimum Education**
High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.
**Experience Requirements**
Have a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a relatable field/ capacity.
**Experience Preferred**
Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred. Bilingual in Creole or Spanish preferred.
**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
Work in temperatures ranging from 35 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit, with ambient humidity, at a specified rate work up to two hours in a single interval, with a normal maximum of 6 hours per shift.
