As a Service Coordinator, you'll work with a close-knit team to design and implement fun, meaningful, and rewarding programs for the people we serve in our programs. Direct Care. All of our positions have a direct care component. You will help some people with day to day activities like eating lunch, taking medicine, and going to the bathroom. Experience requirements for the Service Coordinator position include: A BA/BS degree in a related field and 1 year work experience providing direct care for persons with disabilities; or an AA degree in a related field and 2 years of experience providing direct care for persons with disabilities; or a diploma in a related field from an accredited postsecondary institution and 3 years of experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities; or a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and 4 years of work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualification identified in the above criteria. We operate program centers throughout the Twin Cities area and provide community employment and day support services for adults with disabilities. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the safe and efficient operation of all buildings owned or leased by the agency. Assists with maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as needed. The Maintenance Assistant is also responsible for ensuring that buildings and grounds are well maintained. Join Our Team - and make a difference in the lives of others! Responsibilities: Work in collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure repair needs are reported and resolved. Maintain and assist in the repair of all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Supplement lawn care vendor by edging, watering, and trimming of trees and bushes. Keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice. Responsible for snow removal on sidewalks. Some light administrative responsibilities which may include ordering supplies, restocking supplies, and trash removal as needed. Open/Close buildings as assigned. Monitor buildings to ensure they meet safety standards. Be proactive in identifying, reporting, and correcting safety related issues. Provide assistance for building maintenance on weekends if needed. These tasks may include painting, stripping and waxing floors, roof snow removal, etc. Maintain the maintenance storage area in a clean and orderly fashion. Requirements The ideal candidate will have one year of maintenance experience to include basic electrical and plumbing experience. Must be willing to work 8am to 4:30pm and be available as early as 7am in the event snow removal is needed. Must be able to frequently climb, bend, stoop, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to competently operate basic tools and janitorial equipment. Must have a valid driver's license and meet standards set by MSS and our insurance company to drive an agency vehicle.
