* Ensure staff members meet mandatory training requirements upon their hire and additional training on basic CPR, Incident Command System (ICS), etc.
* Ensure that safety and security reports and records are maintained and easily accessible when needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, emergency management, social sciences, business administration, public administration (or a related field).
* Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement, public safety, or emergency management.
* Two (2) years of supervisory experience in safety, security, emergency response, or similarly structured setting, preferably at a higher education institution, public entity, or unionized environment.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills along with the ability to work collaboratively with the college community, including students, employees, and external groups from all backgrounds.
