Job Summary:
Entry role focused on training and assisting higher level logistics operators. Primary focus on stockroom and material handling. Emphasis on learning and development.
Primary Responsibilities:
Orientation to Fike's business system, forklift, entering data and hazardous materials handling.
Pick customer orders in the stockroom.
Performs light kitting in the stockroom and electronics production areas.
Delivers product from receiving to the next point of use.
Unloads package trucks in receiving.
Counts product to support the cycle counting process and puts away product in the stockroom.
Adheres to safety practices, 6S, and follows Fike policies, as well as ISO9001.
Must be able to pass forklift certificate within 6 months of hire.

You'll be working in one of our two offices in Wichita, KS or Kansas City, MO, 3 days a week,Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, and get a firsthand look at how we find the “why” in human behavior. We are seeking an entry-level, seasonal MEP Engineering Designer. Candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the design of the MEP systems for a variety of building types. Involvement within project teams from schematic design through construction on projects, reviewing shop drawings and related submittals, coordinating with other disciplines in all phases, and directing the production of the projects are also part of the internship experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist with HVAC load calculations.
Size and layout of airside systems.
Learn the different mechanical system types and where to best apply them.
Assist on the technical design, including lighting calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit calculations, and power/lighting layouts.
Assist on the technical design, including all plumbing system calculations and layouts.
Learn and apply best practice engineering methods.
Learn and apply the process and procedures for coordination with Architecture, Structural, and Civil disciplines.
Learn to develop and model 3D systems in Revit.
Requirements
Job Requirements
Basic understanding and willingness to learn and develop applicable codes to all MEP systems and building codes. Current participation as a 3rd or 4th year, a traditional or non-traditional engineering student at an accredited university working towards a bachelor's degree or equivalent, is a must.
Qualifications:
The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Revit knowledge preferred. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere, and meet deadlines. Self-motivated and with a strong work ethic and personally driven to consistently meet project design and performance goals. Ability to work independently as well as with various disciplines and types of people and committed to being an effective, contributing team player
