After-School Nanny for Two Children in Kirkland (20 hrs per week) Placement
Nanny job in Kirkland, WA
A bit about us: We are a warm, active family in Kirkland seeking an after-school nanny who can support our two children, ages 5 and 7, and help keep our home running smoothly during the busy afternoon hours. Our children are energetic, curious, and engaged in a variety of extracurricular activities. We are looking for someone who is patient, structured, and attentive- especially skilled at supporting children with ADHD and helping them navigate transitions and daily routines. We also have a small Pomeranian who enjoys a daily walk. Our ideal match is someone who values communication, reliability, and a team-oriented approach.
A bit about you: You are punctual, organized, and highly communicative. You provide gentle guidance and consistent boundaries to help children build independence and feel supported. You enjoy building genuine connections by showing interest in kids' stories and hobbies, and you approach challenges with patience and consistency. You're comfortable navigating after-school transitions, flexible when occasional early pick-ups are needed, and confident behind the wheel. Experience supporting children with ADHD is a strong plus. A love of crafts, creative play, and engaging conversations is always welcome in our home.
Job Duties: Your afternoons begin with light household support such as child-related laundry, loading or unloading the dishwasher, simple meal or snack prep (like chopping vegetables), and taking our friendly Pomeranian on a walk. Once school ends, you will pick up the children and transport them to extracurricular activities (including classes, therapies, and practices) using your own reliable vehicle. You'll help the kids settle in after school, assist with transitions using the family's established calm-down strategies, and support them as they unwind through crafts, reading, imaginative play, or listening to music and audiobooks. Some days, you may stay home with one child while a parent transports the other to activities. “Text NANNY to ************ to apply and schedule your interview in under 3 minutes.

You're also comfortable spending time with an elder who benefits from companionship, conversation, walks, outings, cooking together, and light shared activities. You stay calm under pressure, redirect with warmth, and use clear communication with parents to ensure everyone is aligned.
