**Job Description**
NREL's Grid Planning and Analysis team is seeking a curious, sharp, and technically skilled **Data Engineering Intern** to help build the largest grid datasets in the world. We are looking for a candidate passionate about building trusted, validated databases from the ground up using messy, heterogeneous datasets that fuel real-world energy research and national policy decisions.
You'll be instrumental in transforming unstructured or semi-structured data into high-integrity, queryable databases that support machine learning models, visual analytics, and advanced simulations.
Responsibilities
+ Ingest, clean, and validate diverse datasets from internal and external sources (e.g., CSVs, spreadsheets, Text Files and SQL dumps)
+ Design and assemble structured, high-quality relational databases
+ Collaborate with domain scientists and software engineers to understand data contexts and ensure correct integration into the Sienna Platform
+ Document data provenance, validation logic, and database design decisions
+ Write reusable scripts for data transformation and validation (preferably in Python or similar languages)
+ Contribute to internal Git repositories and maintain clean, reproducible codebases

**Basic Qualifications**
Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree program, or graduated in the past 12 months from an accredited institution. Candidates who have earned a degree may work for a period not to exceed 12 months. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Councilmember-Elect Anthony Tordillos of District 3 Council Office is recruiting for a part-time Student Intern position. The Office of District 3 Councilmember Anthony Tordillos is seeking college student for a paid internship to support the office's policy, community, and outreach work. Interns will have the opportunity to gain direct experience in all facets of local government, from supporting the creation of new legislation and developing communications materials to leading on constituent casework. The internship will be 15-19 hours per week (with flexibility to accommodate class schedules); the internship period is for 4 months, with the option to extend as agreed by the office and the intern.

Job Description
The Port of San Francisco is seeking a college student intern to support its Occupational Health and Safety programs. The intern will assist with fieldwork, maintain safety supplies and equipment, and conduct site visits.

Work Schedule:

Work Schedule:
We work in a hybrid and traditional environment, and you may be expected to work onsite in the office up to 5 days per week. Work Schedule:
We work in a hybrid and traditional environment, and you may be expected to work onsite in the office up to 5 days per week. The San Mateo County Probation Department has a challenging opportunity for a college juniors and seniors who are interested in making an impact on their community while gaining valuable on-the-job training and experience in a criminal justice environment.
Positions are non-paid. Academic credit can be provided for students applying for an internship position for units at any college, university, certification program, work-study, or cooperative education program.
Interns must work 9-10 months with a minimum of eight hours per week. After three months, a mid-point evaluation will be conducted. With satisfactory performance at that time, interns may continue for the remainder of the internship, which concludes at the end of the calendar year.

As a Probation Intern, you will assist with the duties of both the Deputy Probation Officer and/or the Legal Office.
Deputy Probation Officer
* Generate legal and official documents for dissemination to criminal court, defendants, and cooperating agencies.
* Assist in interviewing and documenting assessments of defendants to determine appropriate supervision.
* Perform routine fieldwork assistance with officers visiting treatment providers and conducting home visits (participation requires mandatory training).
* Conduct research, data collection, and administrative tasks to support probation officers in managing their caseloads.
* Assists in preparation and presentation of preliminary and final materials.
* Maintains data and systems for budget tracking, reporting and generate reports.
* Interview adults, juveniles, their families, and other relevant individuals to assess the nature of marital, domestic, employment, financial, environmental, or other difficulties.
* Formulate probation plans and present recommendations to supervisors and the court.
* Recommend and establish payment schedules for restitutions and fines; evaluate restitution claims submitted by victims and assess probationers' ability to pay.
* Explain procedures, rights, and responsibilities to probationers.
* Supervise the welfare and conduct of adults on probation and juveniles under Juvenile Court jurisdiction, assisting them in complying with court orders.
* Identify treatment, educational, employment or other programs needed by the probationer; make referrals and follow up to verify and evaluate services received.
* Take necessary legal steps to report probationer noncompliance; initiate court processes when probation terms are violated.
* Consult with professionals in law enforcement, medicine, religion, law and mental health.
* Cooperate with representatives from state and local welfare, school, and law enforcement agencies.

This program is designed for college students to gain experience in law enforcement, primarily in the Corrections field. Candidates will have the opportunity to attend the Correctional Academy at the Stanislaus County Regional Training Center as their college schedule permits. Stanislaus County will bear the cost of the Correctional Academy. The Corrections Academy consists of 240 hours of instruction. While attending the Correctional Academy Interns will receive intensive academic instruction in Law Enforcement and Corrections procedures combined with rigorous physical fitness and defensive tactics training. Successful completion of this Corrections Academy requires full-time attendance for approximately six weeks. Upon completion of the Corrections Academy and the minimum age of 21, interns are eligible for full-time employment as a Deputy Sheriff - Custodial Deputy.
The incumbent will be assigned to work in the Adult Detention facilities under the direct supervision of a Facility Training Officer (FTO). During this assignment, the incumbent will receive training in the care, custody, and control of inmates.
The Deputy Sheriff Intern must transition to the Deputy Sheriff-Custodial classification or separate from County service before age 26.
The internship program will require a shift commitment based on your college schedule availability. You must retain your college enrollment through the entirety of the internship. You must be enrolled in a minimum of nine college units each semester and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.
The Deputy Sheriff - Custodial Intern is a part-time, extra help, provisional classification where permanent status may not be obtained. This position may be subject to overtime assignment as schedule permits. This assignment will perform related duties as assigned. This position is non-benefited except for participation in the 401a program.

Assist Deputy Sheriff-Custodial staff with the supervision of incarcerated persons in a variety of activities at adult detention facilities, including the following:
* Process, search, and release incarcerated persons in the SDC-East and West Facilities, Minimum Housing Unit, and REACT Center;
* Maintain order and discipline among incarcerated persons;

* Eligible Lists: Candidates who pass the examination will be placed on an eligible list for that classification. Eligible lists are effective for six months, but may be extended up to eighteen months. As part of the selection process, candidates will be expected to pass a(n):
* In-depth background investigation including completion and review of a Personal History Statement;
* Computer Voice Stress Analysis (CVSA) or polygraph examination;
