Natus Vincere company history timeline

2009

The idea to crate the Natus Vincere organization pre-dates CS:GO. The team was officially created in 2009 by Marat “Arbalet” Zhumashevich and Sergey “starix” Ischuk.

The addition of s1mple also marks the first Ukrainian player signing within the Counter-Strike division, since the original quintet back in late 2009.

Founded in 2009, the organization has teams and players competing in various games.

2010

On October 4, 2010, Natus Vincere became the World Cyber Games world champions by defeating Danish team mTw.dk in the finals.

However, those achievements were accomplished in 2010, long before CS:GO. So don’t get confused, they didn’t win a single Major in this version of the game yet.

Na`Vi took 3rd place in GameGune 2010 and Intel Extreme Masters Shanghai.

In 2010, popular website HLTV.org had made rankings for the 20 best Counter-Strike players. markeloff was 1st place, starix 4th, Edward 5th and captain of Na'Vi had the 19th place, as well as "The best captain of the year".

2011

On March 5, 2011, FamousFive defended their position in Hannover as the champions of the Intel Extreme Masters and earned $35,000.

2013

A year after the release of CS:GO, the first official Major was held – DreamHack Winter 2013.

2014

The end of the year would see Na`Vi place top four at ESWC 2014 (a fourth place finish) as well as the DreamHack Winter 2014 major.

2016

He would be sidelined briefly heading into DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016, which starix would stand-in for the group stage with GuardiaN joining up by the start of the playoffs.

2017

Zeus had attended every CS:GO major up until retiring, he had attended four grand finals, only winning one of them (being PGL Major Kraków 2017, with Gambit Esports). Boombl4 would from this point take over as Na`Vi's in-game leader.

2018

On April 22, Na`Vi placed second at DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018, losing 0-2 to Astralis.

2019

On July 6, Na`Vi placed 3rd-4th at ESL One: Cologne 2019, losing 0-2 to Team Liquid.

On September 6, Na`Vi would finish the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 as quarterfinalists, falling to NRG Esports 0-2.

2020

Their first tournament would be the BLAST Premier 2020 - Global Final, which carried over into the new year.
