Key Responsibilities:
Gather, prepare, test, and maintain adequate documentation to support monthly accruals through the Service PO Accrual Process (SPOA).
Apply judgment and correctly interpret GAAP accounting requirements to ensure accounting entries are properly recorded, substantiated, and communicated.
Partner and communicate with Requestor and Financial Analyst communities to effectively prepare monthly accruals.
Assist SPOA database manager with preparation and analyses of monthly accrual data.
Identify and communicate Procurement and Accounts Payable processing errors for correction.
Participate in cross training and coverage of other Corporate Accounting areas of responsibility. Maintain flexibility to assist in other areas during periods of peak activity.
Continually assess and design desk procedures and process flows. Ensure that these work flows are designed to maximize internal controls and efficiency.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
BA/BS in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred.
Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience in accounting, purchasing, and/or accounts payable.
Understanding of concepts of accrual accounting.
Strong experience with automated accounts payable and purchasing systems - Oracle experience a plus.
Strong experience with Excel and Word.
Excellent analytical skills.
Strong organization, time management and task prioritization skills.
Ability to work independently and resolve problems.
Strong customer service/support skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities during a compressed time frame.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.

* Prepare and file sales tax returns through Avalara.
* Collaborate with and manage external service providers for the timely filing of international GST and VAT returns.
* Prepare and file all domestic non-income tax filings and assist with other relevant direct state and local filing requirements.
* Prepare monthly reconciliation and accruals of indirect general ledger accounts and data.
* Work closely with accounts receivable team to review exemption certificates, withholding certificates, and address other relevant documentation requests.
* Manage and track sales tax exemption certificates.
* Complete and file various business surveys as required by government agencies.
* Assist with tax controversy matters (direct and indirect), including negotiating settlements and VDAs, reviewing notices, preparing correspondence with tax authorities, and dispute resolution.
* Stay current with changes in indirect tax laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to compliance procedures.
* Implement tax "best practices" for tax automation and compliance to minimize reliance upon outside service providers.
* Conduct regular reviews of indirect tax processes and controls to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
What You'll Bring:
* B.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
* CPA and/or MBT preferred.
* Must be a highly motivated team contributor with the ability to collaborate with others.
* 3+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance (e.g., sales tax, GST/VAT, property tax).
* Minimum of 2 years of public accounting or relevant industry experience (SaaS experience is preferred).
* Strong US GAAP background.

Utilize vendors'tax account application systems and, in some cases, set up accounts directly with the respective agency.
Ensure all applied-for accounts are updated with the correct tax ID.
Conduct quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations.
Ensure amendments are filed timely.
Collaborate with the finance department to ensure general ledger accounts reconcile.
Set-up and maintain organized tax files for each jurisdiction.
Process, track, and ensure proper resolution of all payroll tax notices received.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills
Must be able to communicate with internal customers and with vendors to ensure proper resolution of issues.
Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
Other duties and tasks as needed.

We are looking for a resourceful, enthusiastic, and disciplined technical advisor to complement our financial reporting function. This advisor will help lead the team responsible for the preparation of SEC filings. This sharp-minded individual will also be responsible for technical accounting research and staying up-to-date on new accounting guidance and pronouncements. The position reports to the Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Consolidations.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the accounting, reporting, and any technical research with respect to pensions, derivatives, and other technical topics.
