Firoz H. Lalji has lived the ultimate American success story. Born of Indian ancestry in the East African country of Uganda, Lalji became the principal provider for his household at 24 when Idi Amin ousted his family from their home and their sugar-cane processing and coffee plantation business. Lalji immigrated with his family to Canada in 1971, completely impoverished. He banked on his finance skills honed while earning his degree at the London School of Economics to navigate the sea of obstacles in his entrepreneurial ambition. In Vancouver, BC, he swiftly built a life for his family, founding the successful Kits Cameras photographic retailer chain in 1973 that eventually numbered 225 locations in both Canada and the Unites States. Lalji moved to Washington state in 1981 and, following the sale of Kits in 1997, he co-founded Zones, Inc. in 1988--a nationwide provider of progressive technology solutions to business and public sectors. In 1989, he found the real estate investment company Fana Capital Corporation. Lalji had reinvented and revolutionized Zones, shaping the company into the fifth largest private company headquartered in Washington for 2013. In hopes of fueling success for other emerging minority entrepreneurs, Zones, under Lalji's leadership, was a founding corporate partner of the University of Washington's annual one-week immersive Minority Business Executive Program. Lalji additionally established the Program for African Leadership, a public charity which supports the development of the next generation of African leaders by providing funding for 15 participants at the London School of Economics annually, as well as other programs to benefit his home continent of Africa.

Larry Hurtado joined Digital Defense as CEO in August of 2002. With over two decades of networking and security experience, he has been at the helm of Digital Defenses movement from a regional niche player to an industry leader with established global presence. Prior to Digital Defense, Larry was Co-Founder and President of International Operations for Elastic Networks, Incorporated. At Elastic Networks, he was responsible introducing EtherLoop DSL products, overall business growth, financing, an IPO, and the acquisition of the company by Paradyne Corporation. Prior to Elastic Networks, Hurtado held senior management positions at Nortel Networks, including VP of Business Line Management in Nortel Networks’ Access Networks Division. Hurtado holds a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

I was the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of WisePatient (acquired by Sharecare, Inc. in 2012), a SaaS-based patient access & care coordination platform connecting patients and providers online. Before founding WisePatient, I was a Senior Associate at Merrick Ventures, a healthcare and information technology focused venture capital firm led by Michael Ferro in Chicago, IL. While at Merrick Ventures, I supported the corporate development function of Merge Healthcare (NASDAQ:MRGE acquired by NASDAQ:IBM) focusing on mergers & acquisitions and post-merger integration. Prior to joining Merrick Ventures, I was an Associate at Arcapita Ventures, the growth stage venture capital arm of Arcapita, Inc., evaluating healthcare and information technology related investment opportunities. Prior to Arcapita, I worked in Accenture’s Health and Life Sciences Strategy Practice where he specialized in operational and information technology strategy for integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, and health plans.

Kevin Greene is the Chief Executive Officer of Logi Analytics. Kevin has more than 20 years of experience as an operator, investor, and banker working with breakthrough enterprise software companies. Prior to joining Logi in 2013, Kevin served as a partner at Valhalla Partners, a venture capital firm in Vienna, Virginia. Earlier in his career, Kevin was a principal at Flagship Ventures, now Flagship Pioneering, an early-stage venture capital firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Greene’s venture capital foundation is underpinned by experience garnered at IBM where he was a program director responsible for growing IBM’s software partner program. While at IBM, Kevin also held a variety of product management positions with the IBM WebSphere brand. Kevin is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and the Harvard Business School. After graduating from UVa, he launched his career at Goldman Sachs, working in both its New York and Hong Kong offices, where he executed more than $30 billion in equity, equity-linked, and M&A financing transactions.
