Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced Trading System Engineer (Java or Python). This role focuses on enhancing and supporting Fixed Income Trading Applications and requires minimum 7-10 years (for mid-level) and 10-15 years (for senior level) of professional work experience; strong programming skills in Java and Python; and a solid understanding of financial markets (preferably bond markets)
Responsibilities
Involved with the design and hands-on implementation of core components for our fixed income electronic trading platform, including venue connectivity, market data handlers, execution, and risk management systems.
Work towards continuously optimizing the latency and throughput of our trading applications. This involves deep performance analysis, profiling, and tuning at all levels of the stack.
Build fault-tolerant and resilient systems. Participate in the entire software lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, and providing support for critical production systems to ensure maximum uptime and stability.
Uphold and champion high standards for code quality, testability, and maintainability through rigorous code reviews, automated testing (both unit and integration testing), and adherence to modern software engineering principles.
(For senior candidates) Act as a technical leader and mentor to less experienced engineers, sharing knowledge, guiding development efforts, and fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
The Role
Responsibilities:
Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on high-performance, trading systems.
Proficiency in Java and/or Python, with a good understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, memory management, and optimization techniques.
Proven experience as a java developer, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and expertise on building Microservices with Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and WebSocket services.
Experience with modern front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular).
Experience with containerization and cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience on AWS Cloud is a major plus.

York Space Systems is seeking a System Administrator whose responsibilities include ensuring compliance with government requirements pertaining to computer systems processing classified information. The selected candidate will support classified system efforts and will perform tasks that include hardware/software configuration management (to include baseline configuration), risk assessments/vulnerability assessments, testing and documenting security controls, and ensuring overall cybersecurity compliance. The ideal candidate will have system administration experience spanning an array of different platforms/systems and will take initiative in collaboration between cross-functional teams. The candidate must be comfortable collaborating with stakeholders to meet system security requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical inputs as needed for ground assets in support of classified systems
Assist with the deployment and configuration of collection services and tools
Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate cyber requirements into space assets throughout production and operation phases
Continuously evaluate/maintain system baseline in compliance with accreditation requirement
Maintain system boundary security configurations to include patch management, vulnerability remediation, implementing STIGs, and any additional system security configurations as needed
Implement systems administration tasks associated with cybersecurity control in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance and contractual requirements
Assist with validation and remediation validation of network servers, routers, and switches to ensure they comply with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements
Assist with the establishment of secured host baseline (SHB) images to be applied to multiple operating systems and DISA STIGs
Perform vulnerability testing using system test tools (i.e., ACAS/Nessus, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and/or Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)) and remediate flaws within directed timeframe
Perform backups and configuration of backup repository IAW system monitoring plans
Identify and develop authorization boundary diagrams, architecture diagrams, and hardware and software inventories in coordination with network team
Perform system administration related to compliance with Continuous Monitoring (ConMon)
Ensure that hardware, software, data, and facility resources are archived, sanitized, or disposed of in a manner consistent with system security plans and requirements
Participate in the change management process, and assess system impact of proposed changes
Report all security-related concerns and changes that may affect the system
Provide proactive system administration support
Network troubleshooting in collaboration with York's Network Architect
Other duties as deemed appropriate for this position
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or related field or 10 years of directly related experience
2-5 years' experience in a systems administration position for the U. S government or a U.S. government contractor
Security+ certification or equivalent
Currently possess a Top Secret clearance or higher
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience using DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Requirements Guide (SRGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) to securely configure network-enabled devices
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
