Mr. Mayer has been in the orthopedic business since 1977. He started his orthopaedic career with DePuy serving 18 years as a union employee, marketing trainee, sales associate, Independent Agent, member of the Sales Advisory Board and Business Development Director of their ProSource Division. His overall history in the orthopaedic industry includes extensive experience in sales, distribution and business development. In the fall of 2002, Mr. Mayer founded DVO, a company that was focused on the development and commercialization of innovative orthopaedic products for the upper extremity market. Mr. Mayer co-led the development, growth and eventual sale of DVO Extremity Solutions LLC to Tornier, Inc. in March of 2007. Over the next two years, Mr. Mayer served as Vice President of Sales Execution and was a member of the Tornier Executive Management team. Most recently, Mr. Mayer co-founded Del Palma Orthopedics, a product development company, where he was named President and CEO in April of 2009 and currently serves as a Director. Mr. Mayer currently resides in Warsaw, Indiana, is happily married to his wife of 22 years and has been blessed with 5 children.
