Nigerdock company history timeline
Established in 1986 by the GON as Nigeria's preeminent shipbuilding and ship repair facility, Niger Dock had become a leading West African shipbuilder.
By the late 1990’s, Jagal had further diversified its interests to the energy sector by collaborating with well-known leaders and personalities in the oil & gas industry.
Under his name, advertisements were placed in the local press claiming that since Niger Dock was under probe by a judicial commission, privatization of the company could not proceed. (In 2000, President Obasanjo had set up a judicial commission to look into the affairs of the company since 2000.
Furthermore, in 2005 Jagal established a private free zone development to improve investment opportunities for investors that would help create economic stimulus through employment, industrial development, technology transfer and training.
