Northwest Council For Computer Education (ncce) CEO and leadership

Dr. Heidi B. Rogers is the CEO of the Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting effective uses of technology in education. She leads the educational technology organization in the Pacific Northwest.

She is the past president of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association, (PCMA). Dr. Rogers experience in serving as an active member and leader for nonprofit organizations is extensive. She has served as president of four nonprofit organizations; PCMA, NCCE, International Society of Technology Education (ISTE), and the EXCEL Foundation supporting the Coeur d’Alene School District.

Being involved and investing in her community is one of her hobbies and priorities. She is actively involved as a member of the CDA Rotary Club, Chamber Leadership Committee and Idaho Community Foundation Panhandle Leadership Board. Heidi recently joined the CDA Library Foundation Board.

Rogers is also on staff at the University of Idaho. She specializes in the development and direction of non-traditional outreach activities, such as workshops, conferences, and other educational events. She is also involved in the building of university-community partnerships, discovering opportunities for the university to exercise its service role and connecting with educators in the Northwest.

Born and raised on a horse and cattle ranch in Oklahoma, Dr. Rogers received her Doctorate of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Oklahoma State University with an emphasis in Information Communication and Educational Technology. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Secondary Education.

She resides in northern Idaho with her son and takes advantage of playing golf in one of the country’s most scenic destinations to live and play. Dr. Rogers is passionate about community involvement and technology education.
