Responsible for directing the daily operations of a single store. Operates in accordance with prescribed policies and practices. Ensures compliance with standards for customer relations, food costs, safety, sanitation, and product preparation and merchandising. May participate in image-building activities within local community. Accountabilities/Duties: * Follows NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieves productivity goals. * Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes. * Prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frosts cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly. * Ensures an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintains appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels. * Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains frosting and refrigeration logs. * Monitors inventory of frosting supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required. * Evaluates baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues. * Cleans, sanitizes and restocks workstation, ensure frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and washes any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee. * Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene. * Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record. Job Description The froster is responsible for making the NBC signature frosting and applying it to the full range of products for walk-in, pre-ordered and marketing orders. This person must keep the display case fully stocked, maintain an ample supply of samples and maintain appropriate par levels of additional cakes. The froster is responsible for keeping the frosting station clean, sanitized and running efficiently. Qualifications Able to lift up to 50 lbs. • Possess a strong sense of teamwork. • Integrity. • Takes initiative. • Fits the brand culture. • Has the ability to work under pressure. • Can follow instructions. • Has physical stamina. • Has a strong sense of pride in his work. • Can work at a fast pace. • Has good organizational skills. • Understands the importance of maintaining a clean work area Additional Information The Froster must also: • Uphold the NBC image and brand. • Assist other departments as needed and directed. • Frost all cakes for same-day and next-day orders. • Keep retail cases stocked with Bundtlets, 8-inch and 10- inch cakes and back-up sample trays. • Maintain par levels in cooler or case cakes, assorted Bundtini packs and sample trays. • Make frosting when stock level is below par. • Fold boxes. • Keep frosting area, tables, microwave and tool bins clean and sanitized according to local codes. • Track frosting material inventory.
