* Manage and optimize digital communication tools, including email listservs, messaging platforms, and online registration systems.
* Troubleshoot basic technology issues for families and staff during events, workshops, and virtual meetings.
* Assist parents with accessing digital platforms such as NYC Schools Account (NYCSA), Google Classroom, DOE devices, and other online resources.
* Use programming skills (Python preferred) to streamline and automate administrative tasks such as:
* Cleaning and organizing parent contact databases
* Generating attendance reports
* Producing engagement analytics
* Importing/exporting data between DOE systems and spreadsheets
* Maintain organized digital records for community partnerships, volunteer hours, and event outcomes.
* Support school leadership by producing clear, data-informed summaries and visualizations of parent involvement and community engagement.
* Coordinate logistics for school events, including setup of audio/visual equipment, internet-connected devices, and virtual meeting platforms.
* Assist in the development of digital flyers, newsletters, and informational materials.
Qualifications Requirements:
Minimum
* High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
* Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

* Team player who is able to work closely with all members of the school and outside community.
* Public speaking ability and good people skills. Ability to interact with people at all social and economic levels.

Clinical Counseling Services

About You (Qualifications)
Language Proficiency: Complete fluency in Spanish required

Responsibilities
Identifies and assesses learning and behavior problems, including factors in the school environment contributing to student problems.
Identifies, assesses and when warranted and possible, modifies social-emotional, cultural, economics as well as other environmental factors impacting negatively on a child's success in school.
Incorporate students' parents as partners in the learning process. Keep parents apprised of student's progress, attitude and behavior. Keep scheduled appointments and be accessible to parents when they have questions
Chair academic conferences with parents i.e. promotion in doubt
Counsels students individually and in groups.
Provides consultation with school staff and parents concerning the growth and development of individual students.
Collaborates with school staff including other mental health providers assigned to respective schools.
Collaborates with special education teacher and serves on as a liaison with CSE.
Provides mandated workshops on child abuse and child neglect to all school staff.
Serves as an advocate for children and for parents around issues that are negatively impacting a child's success in school.
Liaisons with various agencies (DSS, DJJ, etc.) and institutions (churches, universities, etc.) in order to assist in effecting positive change for students and families that will translate into improved school adjustment and achievement for the child.
Monitors school climates and finds ways of positively impacting that environment for children.
Serves as a member of Crisis Intervention Teams.
Provides group counseling, educational workshops, and other services to parents on topics such as parenting, stress reduction
Pay Transparency: The salary range for this role is $ 62,500 - $98,000. Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
