Works with personnel involved with the operations for the distribution of medication, analyzes systems and operations of the departments via quality control measures in order to identify and rectify problems. Monitors galley/floor stock/supplement par levels by calculating appropriate level of inventory for assigned units. Provides encouragement, feedback and mentoring to trainee. Ability to travel throughout and between facilities. Job Duties Track sepsis-related metrics, analyze trends, and support performance improvement initiatives to reduce mortality and complications. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure rapid recognition and intervention for sepsis cases and address opportunities for improvement by rapid cycle feedback. Support the development, implementation and monitoring of evidence-based sepsis protocols and care bundles. Provide ongoing staff education on sepsis recognition, treatment guidelines, and documentation requirements. Collaborates with performance improvement projects and ensures the projects support organizational and departmental goals. Ensure adherence to national guidelines, hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Assists with the evaluation of the program and the annual plan and goals development. Manages and maintains assigned databases. Provides data analysis, trended reports and direction for performance improvement initiatives. Facilitates review, and tracks use, of best practice order sets and guidelines though direct participation and communication to guide improvement based upon evidence. Educates and interprets standards related to regulatory and accrediting standards. Participates in risk management through the identification, trending and follow up of clinical issues.
