Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and passionate events intern to join our Advancement Department at the OhioGuidestone Berea office. Reporting to the director of advancement with direction from the stewardship and events coordinator, the intern will play an important role in the day-to-day operations required to plan a successful event campaign and meet fundraising events revenue goals. Additional roles and responsibilities are detailed below. Responsibilities: * Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics. * Assist with duties requiring an understanding of OhioGuidestone's programs and procedures. * Assist in the logistical planning of OhioGuidestone events * Assist in preparation of routine correspondence, databases and mailings. * Perform copying and collating of office materials as needed. * Contribute to content for agency communications and promotional materials. * Communicate with event participants, donors and sponsors. Provide support and motivation, as necessary. * Represent OhioGuidestone at event recruitment and awareness events. * Secure date and location for agency community events. * Assist with the solicitation of in-kind donations. * Build customized sponsorship packets. * Assist the advancement team in research and analysis of prospective event donors and participants * Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required. * Demonstrate positive leadership; promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging. * Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts. Job Summary The Therapist works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, therapy, counseling, and support services for our foster care children and families. Essential Functions: * Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics. * Works as an integral member of the Residential Treatment team by building and maintaining strong nurturing relationships with the residents and staff of the Youth Residential Treatment Center through clear communication and decision-making. * Observe professional boundaries with residents at all times. * Supervises residents in their care assuring that a safe, supportive space and therapeutic environment is maintained, during assigned shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd). * Handle emergency situations such as environmental, weather related or physical injury. * Execute activities that promote social skills and personal growth. * Provide crisis intervention to residents according to residential treatment center policies and procedures. * Develop and consistently maintain structured routines for youth residents' daily functioning, including wake-up, hygiene, meals, activities and bedtime. * Organize and implement activities and educational groups to promote growth in areas of social skill building, and physical, emotional and mental development, according to treatment plans. * Understand the emotional, psychological, and physical impact of trauma. * Participate in weekly supervision with the Program Manager to ensure proper care for residents. * Complete all required documentation, which could be electronic or paper. As follows: Client incident reports (CIR's), daily logs, night logs, communication logs, USDA logs and any other required documentation to ensure proper care. * Complete all required training prior to deadline, both in person and online through the agency's learning management system. * Correctly utilize physical techniques as instructed by the agency approved behavioral safety system. * Maintain active status in all required certifications and training courses. * Maintains regular and reliable attendance. * May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes. * Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required. * Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging. * Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts. Education & Experience: * High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Mental Health, Social Work, Criminal Justice Youth Development or a related field is preferred. * Crisis intervention training or experience highly recommended. * Strong understanding of adolescent development and psychology desired. * Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care preferred. * 1+ years' experience working with high risk/at risk youth, corrections or mental health population required. Applewood is seeking dynamic and dedicated individuals who want to grow their behavioral health careers and become part of an amazing team of professionals serving others. POSITION SUMMARY: The MRSS Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) will provide mobile response and stabilization services to youth (age 2-20) and families who have called the crisis hotline with a family identified crisis. The MRSS Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) will respond face-to-face (in person or via video conferencing) with another MRSS Team member to high risk crisis situations within an hour to assess the youth and stabilize the family. After the initial 72 hours, the family will receive on-going stabilization and care coordination services from the MRSS QMHS and other members of the MRSS team in various community settings. The team works to provide support - including education and consultation for parents and/or caregivers, case coordination, and symptom management and monitoring for up to 42 days. Work hours are flexible. This is a part-time position up to 30 hours a week with a need to provide weekend coverage; Fridays - Sundays. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide mobile response to a family identified crisis within one hour. Engage youth and families in de-escalating the crisis and assess for risk. Facilitate hospitalization for clients as necessary. Assist with the completion of the CANS assessment and help develop a safety plan and a MRSS plan. Provide ongoing stabilization services with the youth and families for up to six weeks. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client's treatment according to HIPPA guidelines. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material. Recognize the significance of the parent and/or caregiver in the client's life and demonstrate the skills to engage the client, primary family, and other supportive adults in the treatment planning process. Accept assignment of cases from the supervisor to provide QMHS Services for clients, their families, and/or significant others as needed, including: community organizations, schools, other health and social service professionals, the justice system, and other agencies involved with the client.
