Oracle is seeking an experienced Data Center Construction Safety Advisor (Americas) to lead the implementation of a comprehensive construction safety program for data center construction projects. This role involves creating and customizing EHS program documentation, including standards, policies and procedures tailored to the unique challenges of operating data centers. The ideal candidate will have expertise in key safety areas such as construction safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, contractor safety, working at heights, material handling, noise, and heat management, ensuring compliance with local and international standards while fostering a culture of safety. Position Location: US-based/Remote/Work from Home. Strongly prefer candidates based in (or near) Abilene, TX, El Paso, TX, Port Washington, WI, or Saline Township, MI. Career Level - IC4 Responsibilities Collaborate with regional Environment Health and Safety (EHS), Data Center Construction, and Data Center fit out teams to: Establish and implement a construction safety standards for all large construction projects. Establish construction safety training and orientation requirements for Oracle employees. Evaluate, onboard, and implement technology options for tracking construction EHS compliance. Engage with Data Center Construction and third-party construction EHS supplier(s) to ensure consistent EHS compliance for all projects. Monitor daily/monthly EHS audits. Review EHS incident reports and participate in investigations. Analyze safety data and metrics to identify trends, develop action plans and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Engage with Data Center Hardware Support/Technical Project Managers to establish Early Access requirements for employees and Oracle suppliers installing data center equipment including servers, server racks and low voltage fiber in a construction environment Lead regular reviews of safety practices to ensure alignment with regulatory changes and industry best practices. Establish and maintain metrics to track program compliance and effectiveness at the site level. Develop comprehensive training programs for employees, contractors, and vendors, ensuring they understand and comply with safety protocols. Foster a culture of safety through ongoing communication, engagement, and recognition of EHS excellence. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the safety program evolves to meet emerging risks and technologies. Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of EHS experience, with a focus on developing safety programs in construction and data center environments. In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, NFPA 70E (Arc Flash), ISO 45001, and local regulations across different regions. Expertise in key safety areas: Lockout Tagout, Arc Flash, working at heights, material handling, noise, and heat management. Hands-on experience in data center operations or similar mission-critical environments. Proficiency in EHS management systems, auditing processes, and performance tracking tools. Ability to develop and implement initiatives. BA/BS in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering/Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred.
