Job Summary Participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team. Responsibilities Essential Functions Participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team. Demonstrates a working knowledge of the specialized equipment and supplies utilized by the anesthesia staff. Restocks the anesthesia supplies and/or equipment in the Operating Room after each case as needed. Under the direction of the anesthesia staff, cleans the equipment utilized in the delivery of anesthesia cases. Assists the registered nurse and anesthetist in transporting patients. Under the direct supervision of the Registered nurse and anesthetist, assists with positioning of patients for procedures. When not assigned to anesthesia support duties, will be assigned to PSA I tasks and duties. Transports and delivers items, equipment, and medications (excluding controlled substances and IV chemotherapy drugs) throughout the facility. May have limited access to areas storing medications. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Daily reviews on- hand quantities, caseload schedule, and physician needs. Places appropriate requisition orders to meet departmental supply needs. Reviews daily charge edit report.
